Nick, you really should put up a video on troubleshooting/pitfalls and so on. There is a lot you do without even having to think because it's second nature for you. Basically some geometry tips, like your siyahs when the bow is struck should be at such and such angle, to make a limb flex more/less to even things out do XYZ. A video going over common pitfalls and how to correct them would be great. thanks for all the videos definitely amazing.

New to your site and you've done a great job here! Made the first 'no-heat' with the youngin' and had a blast in both making and shooting with him! Did my first re-curve right after and awaiting showing him how. I had to go further and try this Elven Horsebow. No where near as nice as yours, but time will get me there! Also went long to make it a good all round yard bow that everyone can shoot. Next will be the 5ft version for me! Thank you for doing this! Instructional's are great!

Hello Nick, I am 15 and am going to make your PVC eleven bow. Your craftsmanship Nd skills are beyond mine but I am just starting to get into PVC bow making. You have inspired me to build this because I have been a fan of archery for a long time but haven't had the equipment to practice. Your ideas are cheap and relatively easy and will allow me to pursue this passion. Thank you for what you do. - LJ

OH MY I am in AWE of your craftmanship! This is an incredible piece of artistic bowmaking! Your skill is beyond my imagination. As much as I would love to recreate a bow like this, I know it will take me many, many attempts to get it like this. Thank you for sharing your skills with us.

I think one of the most amazing aspects of what you did here was they you did all of this free-handed. Unless the very beginning that didn't start recording until after the ends were done. So unless you used some sort of press for the ends, then the entire bow as free-handed and turned out great. My friend you are an amazing young man. I would love to have you come to our little town and demonstrate how you make the various styles without fire. Our Church group of young men would love this, and I am sure there might even be a young lady or two that would as well. I know several adults would, yours truly being one of those.

Hey Nick, i attempted this bow for my first PVC bow and it didnt turn out too great. with some tweaks i can get it to string up right, but i think the build is a litle out of my league. what would you recommend for me to start out on? i may also get the Barrow county 4-H archery team to come to my shop and make bows due to the fact that some archers dont have the money for a store bought bow. i love your work by the way.

Hi first of I love your videos they are really awesome. I just finished my pvc elven bow following your tutorial and I love it! But I had one quastion, the limps on my bow seem to be a bit thicker than yours. I can imagine this will make the bow heavier. I was wondering if this will make it more likely to break? I would really appreciate it if you (or someone else) could answer this question because I dont want my first bow to break on me xD. Thanks

Wow that looks stunning my friend! I have a friend who is an absolutely crazy LOTR/The Hobbit fan and seeing this video gives me the idea to make one of these for his birthday (ideally as a display model, but he would probably actually want to "play" with it every now and then so it should probably be able to fire reasonable well still) as a compliment to a ring wraith sword (not sure what its called). Being made of PVC, I do just have to ask, what is the likelihood of it shattering when its being used? I imagine this wouldn't occur terribly frequently at all, but are there measures I can take to prevent an explosive shattering action?
@lrstaf63 жыл бұрын
How long did the string end up being on this bow? Is it still functioning well. It's beautiful by the way.
@TwiejkVR11 жыл бұрын
Are you using the right pvc? i bought the wrong pvc aswell in the beginning. its different colors and sizes around the world! If you dont know for sure, i think you got a too small bow or just not enough taper in the arms. wich forces all the energy into the middle or beginning of the arm. wich will make it snap/fold.
@blaberdee11 жыл бұрын
