Historically, the tourism traffic on Hollywood Blvd has been in excess of 10 million a year. The result of the pandemic has obviously reduced that number and those outlets that survived being closed for 20 months are seeking to rejuvenate the visitors. The Authors Day is an attempt to bring in patrons to the museum and the Boulevard by supplying a unique opportunity to purchased Christmas gifts while perusing Hollywood's history in the museum.
The Hollywood Museum (thehollywoodmuseum..com/) has become one of the most sought after locations for galas and events, including their highly successful lobby book signings featuring such noted celebrity authors as Rich Little, Efrem Zimbalist, Jr., Tippi Hedren, Loretta Swit, Hugh O'Brian, Dawn Wells, Ruta Lee, and many more. Donelle Dadigan (Founder/.President of The Hollywood Museum) proudly introduced a plethora of celebrated and celebrity writers, who participated this weekend in their first ever Authors Day Forum, featuring books ranging from entertainment memoirs to Hollywood Pictorial history.
