Carol, Ethel and Tallulah are true legends. That’s why to this day gays revere them.

Looking back on the Dick van dyck show, her character was so influential to future career women, as I became. Yes, the Mary Tyler Moore character and show also had influence. BUT there were predecessors to that, one huge one being Sally. Her apartment, her career clothes, her escapades in dating and romance impresses me years later. She did good, both as character, and most of all, as a character actress, and add to that a singer and club performer. What a gal!

The initial pop was great, but then when Shemar gave her the Emmy and she turned around and you can see people jumping out of their chairs for her, it’s truly awesome

19 nominations seriously. If it were me I would have gave it back. To me this was the night that used her for a laughing stock 😅

At this point why bother that would have been my first and only reaction I would have passed it on to the next person. Obviously you didn't think enough of me to give it to me in the first place why now😅

I've said it before and I'll say it again. How Susan Lucci was nominated 21 times for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series and winning only once is beyond me. She could've won said award 15, 16, maybe 17 times in my opinion. It is what it is. We accept it and move on. But congratulations to Susan Lucci nonetheless. Better late than never.

I wish they would put the whole All My Children episodes/seasons from when it started till the end on a DVD box set , it would sell a lot & pretty sure it would gain more fans of people who were not born at that time or who miss watching it !

It was actually more than 19 years because there were a couple of years where she wasn't nominated (1979, 1980, 1994).

I recall that my twin brother and father attended the San Francisco Giants game that evening. Midway through the game, they put up on the scoreboard "BREAKING NEWS: Susan Lucci won her first Daytime Emmy tonight for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series" Per my twin brother, the crowd went wild. I don't even think they cared anymore about the baseball game. LOL!

They have these awards shows, so we as fans can listen to our favorite person give their speech. And they never miss the chance to chime in with music to stop the flow of the speech! Isn't that whole point of these shows, the speeches? Susan waited 19 years to give that heartfelt speech ❤and they cut her off? Classless.
@mjj14347 ай бұрын
May 1999 . She had to abbreviate her speech, due to “time limits “ . They needed to add extra time to the show or cut down other categories.

Now… I THOUGHT THAT WOULD BE SUSAN LUCCI’S ONLY EMMY. BUT ON DECEMBER 15, SHE WILL RECEIVE THE LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR HER LONGTIME ROLE OF ERICA KANE (AMC). You had to wait 6 months for this, MA’AM. I’ve just got to see how you look right now. Kenneth Huang 11/11/23.
