The Holosun 507K-GR. Might just be the best micro RDS on the market.

Micro reddots on EDC (every day carry pistols) it is truly a love hate realtionship with those who carry a pistol wether it be as a armed member of your community, or as a profesional end user in the LE/MIL community. No matter what side of the isle you are on. The one constant is Holosun.
The products Holosun has been producing has been built tough, function great and are very priced for the common man. I remember when the Trijicon RMR CC hit the streets. They came in at over $600.00 if you could find one. Today the RMR CC is about $450.00 most places with the Holosun 507K-GR V2 comign in at $320-$349.00
I am a fan of the RDS not only the practical application of giving me better shot placement near and far, also giviing me greatrer confidence to engage at distance if the situtaion called for it. The dot is also a great fit for the current state of my vision. My near sightedness is gettign worse and I dont always wear my glasses. Some smaller fiber optic front sights are jsut to close to for me to have a clear sight pictrure. The additon of a RDS (Red Dot Sight) well in this case green. Is a legit upgrade that i highly recomend.

Great quality intro and video. My only gripe is that, if you're going to review a red dot/any optic, it behoofs you to also include a view through the optic itself.

I love my holosun 507k gr 2x i run it on my hellcat It was the first optic I ever bought now its on my edc. it's an absolutely amazing optic. im very glad i got the green over the red..

I have my 507k on my Glock 19 Gen 4. Slide was cut for Rmr. I like it better than the 507c version. I had too modify the optic plate, shaved down the two stubs in the from

I have gotten LASIK and I am still adjusting but beforehand my green dot 2 moa holosun starburst like crazy. My 3 moa red dot does not starburst nearly as bad so I just purchased the 507k with the red dot but everyone’s eyes are different.

Whether you modify the slide or add a plate, the sight is going to be mounted by two short posts and two screws, not sure why a plate would be more robust a mounting system than direct mount, in fact, seems like it just adds more room for failure. The annoying part is either grinding down or sending out the slide to be modified, as opposed to just ordering a plate.

What a shame all the money people spend on guns & sights , the manufacturers won’t even standardize the mounting of the sights on the guns .

Not sure if you have changed the iron sights on that gun, I have the rig and I swapped the sights for Night Fision optic ready stealth sight. They are the absolute perfect height when you have a red/green dot sight, I liked the idea of still being able to see my iron sights at night should my Holosun fail, or run out of battery.

Need some adviceI just bought the Glock 43X mos and the holosun HE507K X2 GR, but can't find the adapter plate I need anywhere right now, so I'm either going to have to wait until I can find one or grind down the posts to get it to fit.

Whats the difference between the reg 507k x2 and the 507k grx2 i need help does anyone know i know there both the same size

Grx2 is the green dot which is what the gr stands for and the other is the red dot, outside of that they are the same

I have found that the red washes out with certain backdrops and high light way worse than the green

That optic he500 k gr x2 fit on a aftermarket slide with RMR cut , glock 19 gen5 without using the mounting plate ?

Doubtful. That would be a call to holosun. These were made for the 43x and 48 guns. Why would you not just want to run the bigger dot for the 19. They make several options

Kind of your call. Me I feel back up irons are always a positive. But for most we never “break” a battery may die so BUIS are a nice have.

Not that would be an issue. The best Practice would still be to swap the battery annual or bi-annually.

Same product. With a few upgrades for that answer your best bet would be. To look up the Data sheet on both since we did not do a side by aide comparison.

The 407K is a 6 moa red dot only. I have 407K on my CZP10C and my Sig P320 and they are about $75-199 lower price. I have a local (lives in same town) gunsmith. He mills the slide. This allows co-witness with stock sights. He only charges $125.00 for this installation. If the 507K GR didn't coast more I would have chose it because my EDC is green dot.

No. More than saying due the violent slide action isn’t the ejector on the pistol a failure waiting to happen. Wit the amount of testing that has been done on Reddots within the civilian, military and LE community’s the RDS is the future of pistol sights the dots have been proven. The mounting solution has been proven. The training methods have been proven. Dots are here to stay. And to be used if you choose to add one. Thanks for the comment.

@@Broken_Arrow58 I have been running rds on pistols close to 6 years now. With proper mounting. And proper plate mourning I don’t foresee any future issues. Rds is not for everyone.
