At the age of 35 inside of Claremont House, Princess Victoria of Saxe Coburg and Gotha, and the Duchess of Nemours died inside of her bedchamber. She was attended on by many servants and doctors, and following giving birth to her fourth child it was clear that Victoria was very ill and was gravely in trouble. After hearing of the death of her cousin, Queen Victoria the British monarch along with her husband Prince Albert were devastated and were gutted and they rushed to visit the family and be by their side. The Duchess of Nemours today is a forgotten member of the royal family, but she was a woman who had a very interesting life, but at a very young age she succumbed to complications after giving birth. But what is the story of her death?

How beautiful she is! The portrait of Victoria and Victoria is incredibly lovely! How much it must have grieved Albert and the Queen… I think Victoria was a very intensely loving woman , but maybe she felt the need to maintain a strong presence outside of the privacy of her close family .

I have never heard of her. My own mom of blessed memory had child bed fever when she had me. I assume she and her husband were of the Catholic faith ?

I wondered why she had brown eyes. Her Italian heritage would explain it (One of her ancestors was a Cavriani).

A sad death, yes. A HORRIFIC death, no. You’re trying to create drama with an exaggerated title and it’s become a pattern. I’m over it. Unsubscribed.

These are the symptoms of child bed fever. The women died in agony. ’Puerperal fever was a devastating disease. It affected women within the first three days after childbirth and progressed rapidly, causing acute symptoms of severe abdominal pain, fever and debility.’

She was hardly a member of the royal family,,,,,too distantly related..... but then the hype in your videos is quite normal.

horrific death?? a little exaggerated perhaps, she died as a result of childbirth, not that uncommon in those days. Dont get sucked into click baiting, you will loose subscribers.

Well... I DO have to state: giving birth is a horrific experience. Dying from it, even worse... Are You a man? Or maybe You never gave birth..?

'Had come' not 'had came'. 'Clarendon' not 'Claredon'. 'ghostliness' not 'ghoslinest'. 'must have been caused' not 'must have paused'. Affliction of the heart, not affection of the heart? Mon dieu = mon dyu not mon doo. Nemours is not pronounced Nemoir, more like Nemoor.

I know, it was driving me nuts, obviously reading from a script that she hadn't read and clarified in advance, awful.
