This is actually so similar to what I pictured the house to be when I read the book. I'm shocked.

They used this house for filming for season 2 of Interview with the Vampire! I knew I recognized it! Episode 5.

That house is on the NW corner of Fell St and Divisadero. I always thought that was where Anne Rice lived and that the Interview house was further down the street. Glad to have that corrected. Stan Flouride, Tour Guide

I went to mortuary college on divisadero st in SF and visited Annes grave last week! My first time in New Orleans. Loved it!

The building has since been painted in a lovely dark olive with maroon and good trim. I met the person who now rents the office in front when I went over to tell him about his house on Clayton where Anne lived at the time. How's that for a Twilight Zone moment?

This is amazing. Someday I will go to that house and I will wait for Lestat to arrive and bite me. And no, I am not kidding, I really will. Interview with the Vampire is one of my favorite books. It is addictive, anyway, I still prefer Lestat's life x) Thank you very much for sharing Anne. It was awesome :)
