In Argentina, they were first known for the hits "Build" and "Bow Down", suddenly one day (in the late 80's or early 90's, not sure) I found the album "London 0 - Hull 4" but it did not have the songs I already knew. I took it anyway,,,I am so happy I did bought that vinyl... Now it is one of the treasures I have in my collection.

Saw them in the Royal Court Liverpool in 1986. So powerful and still relevant today.......timeless utter class. Nice one

This is my favourite band of the 80's. I still like the Smiths, but I think the Housemartins are better. And Heaton has some vocal range

Random but related.. I found CD version of Miaow by The Beautiful South at a car boot sale for 50p. Played it in the car on the way back. Me and my mate started talking about The Housemartins.. good memories.

The real joy of acquiring a turntable after a 30 year gap is when I dig out old albums like London 0 Hull 4. Been listening to these songs all week - brilliant stuff.

I think they should re-form, do a revival tour. So many 80's bands are re-forming & these was my favourite band.

These are inspirational...have been that in my life....my dad cleaned their. Window's....and I just sang their songs loudly for years....after biting my lip, and thinking for a minute...I did it....love them.
