I have really been enjoying your content! Thank you so much for creating so much of it and being very clear about it. I recently found quite an okay deal for this game, but I keep thinking: I might have enough people to play this game, but I do not have enough time to play it often enough so that both me and the people I play with will be able to fully comprehend it. Especially not with the rest of my shelf of shame which I should go through before even thinking about getting this game haha

Thanks for your review! Like others in the comments, ive been eyeing this beast for years, and as the reprint is coming to crowdfunding next month, ive decided to take the plunge. Interestingly what revived my interest, or rather what suddenly made me feel i might manage to handle the ruleset, is the video from Nights Round the Table, who did a fantastic job on his how to play. Perfect pace, perfect sense. After watching it i thought "hmmm i think i can learn this!". I love to learn new games until i feel confident to bring them on the table for the teach. I think if you can have a good teach for a hard game, that's most of the convincing battle won! Did it with Oath and everyone had a blast. Probably also worth playing a couple of dud rounds first, to allow the basics to sink in, and then resetting for a nice epic afternoon or brain scratching and serf exploitation 😊 Cheers!

I feel the exact same as you. I have wanted this game forever. Still don’t own it. But there is no way I could get this to the table. They be scared of it. Just like the amazing Euphoria. Great video btw. 🙏

Hmm... "Heaviest game on BGG"? .... Doubt it. Sure it's not as easy as Brass Birmingham, but there's a long way up to the heaviest games.

Well. I was using a bit of hyperbole. I did not actually go check the weight of every other game on the site. It's rated a 4.6, and I have never heard someone name a game that is "harder", and all the others that I could think of are ranked as lighter. But let me know! What game is considered heavier (obviously with a significant number of ratings). I love to learn new things.

@@HungryGamerReviews the campaign for north africa is a 1500 hr game (not a multi chapter campaign, that is one play) rated a 4.76 on complexity. The only reason it is so low is a few people have rated it 'light' as a joke (i presume). High Frontier 4 all is a 4.82. Europa universalis is a 4.81. Mage knight ultimate is 4.66. There are a few that are higher but its certainly up there in complexity

Okay so it's the fifth. My point remains that is a very heavy game that most everyone that I have talked to considers one of the heaviest games. However I take your correction that it is not in fact the heaviest game on bgg

@HungryGamerReviews oh there's a lot more than I mentioned. Mostly war games. But yea like I said it's up there for sure! Didn't mean it as a correction either, i took your statement to be hyperbole but you just said "let me know! What game is considered heavier"
