I dated Debby Norse (Dubs) for awhile . I met her and her husband and baby not long before they disappeared. On the news they said her cat was left unattended and I knew she was dead but I never expected this. I couldn’t watch the entire video. She was a gentle sweet woman. I try not to think about what she went through. She was a wonderful kind artistic kind of person.

@@bailey1493 What I don’t understand is that when Paul Cosner disappeared, why didn’t the police look into his phone records of the last people he spoke with I.e. the supposed callers of his newspaper ad. Wouldn’t that come back to Leonard Lake and if they did so wouldn’t they see that Lake had a criminal history. I think the police lacked in effort for what they considered smaller cases at the time. Small mysteries sometimes lead to bigger ones, they all deserve attention. May the victims rest with the Lord and those cowards that killed them pay eternally.

his wife should have went to prison she was just as twisted as they were & she walks free. she knew what was going on that's why she went out there before the police to ' try ' and cover things up and the reason she wouldn't let them see the bunker. police should have never made a deal with her. The bodies were everywhere & it was her damn property.

For sure. Psychologically one really has to assume she knew something. What & how much I’d guess they have to interview her & maybe even polygraph. But that can also obfuscate the facts & truth so only when needed. If I was an investigating cop I’d’ve been interviewing her extensively for sure.

The ex-wife knew a hell of a lot more of what went on in that cabin besides what little she told police, and she sure as hell ‘Should Not’ have been given full immunity. Whether she knew before, during or after the fact, she knew about some of it. Why else would she sneak up to the cabin the night before, especially when the police specifically told her Not to. It wasn’t to “tidy the place up” as she claimed. No. I believe she went up there to hide any evidence pointing to her own culpability. She all but reeked of guilt.

Charles Ng was a complete psychopath. He was manipulative and completely devoid of any redeeming qualities whatsoever. He was blessed with a keen intellectual ability but he chose to use his mind for dark and evil purposes. It was a cursed day when Ng made the acquaintance of Leonard Lake. The joining together of those two ruthless souls made for the perfect storm of menacing, psychopathic terror. Ng was one of the most repulsive, reprehensible, ruthless and heinous individuals to ever walk the earth. When I try to contemplate the sheer terror and abject fear of their victims, I become so overwhelmed and so repulsed that my mind refuses to allow those thoughts to enter. We can never TRULY know the exact number of innocent human beings that fell prey to this egregious duo.

Though she never received immunity. Like that matters. Our country is so tied up with bs in our judicial system, I highly doubt there is any way she will ever be tried. I met Lake on Haight Street in San Francisco in the early eighties. He invited me to come up to his property to clean some weed. I got a bad vibe from him and turned him down flat out. A couple of years later, I spoke to a girl I knew who was all set to go up there with him. He came to her apartment in the morning, and she was all packed and ready to go and then bowed out at the last minute. Her name was Tammy. The most unsettling part of this case is that this probably would have gone on a lot longer had Charles Ng not been shoplifting.
@FLo-jc7ig
@FLo-jc7ig 2 жыл бұрын
Charles Ng got caught shoplifting in Calgary, Alberta. When he was in jail there, he was put in with a guy I knew, Maurice Laberge! Maurice had been in my home many times. He "WASN'T" a friend of mine, he would come over with my neighbour. Maurice always gave me the creeps, big time! This was before he got into all the horrific trouble he got into, and I mean bad trouble! Won't mention all of it in this forum. But he was bad to the core! Anyway, while he was in Calgary lock-up, him and Charles had some intersting conversations. Then I guess after some years I believe it was, Charles finally got extridited back to California. After some time, Ng started sending Laberge some really gruesome and graphic letters with drawings of brutally torturing his victims. I don't think he gave their names, just brutal drawings of his victims. And one of the pics was of the "baby" of the couple he raped, tortured, and murdered!! (Sick, demented physco.). To keep it short, Laberge wanted a deal with the prosecutor in Calgary. He'd tell what he knew from his conversations with Ng and give them the drawings if they'd let him out of jail early. He also wanted, it was either $25,000 cash and something else, just can't remember right now, but close enough. AND he got what he asked for, but he'd have to testify for the prosecution! Here's a freaky part...just before Laberge was set to testify, he was involved in a fatal car accident and was killed! Car went up in flames and they could only identify him through dental records!!! There's those that thought it was suspicious! I also knew his brother and sister. I heard because his sister took his death so bad, she walked into a lake and drowned herself! She was a bit older and had children!!! It's so damn sad how his life choices ruined so many lives.like I said, I know alot more about Laberge, but out of respect for the people involved, I'll leave it at that!!! Leonard Lake committed suicide as you probably know, after Ng got caught shoplifting, so the whole brutal ordeal was left hanging Charles Ng. And he's where he needs to be! It's just sadder and scarier when you know some of these monster's!!!

Lake’s ex-wife Claralyn, knew about his sexual fantasies & the fact he like to photograph young girls; she engaged in S&M activities with him & in one video (according to a post on Reddit) joked with both men about who they’d ‘disappear’ next. The cabin belonged to her family & she was obstructive to police trying to conduct a search. She continued a relationship with Lake after their divorce and was sexually depraved. Lake’s ex wife and his mother should have been arrested and charged with tampering with evidence at the very least after being told not to go to the cabin until the next day. Just the fact that she didn’t want the police to search the bunker speaks volumes. I think they both either fully knew what was going on or they had a pretty good idea. If you’re protecting someone knowing what they’re doing than you are just as guilty as if you had done the crime yourself. Also, they advertised the videos and drug business in magazines big magazines which we recall seeing their ads. A guy told us he said the movies are real that they are selling in those magazines back when they were doing that in the 80's. Our phone was bugged by the CIA at the time, but the CIA didnt stop them. We did see the CIA get involved in trying to stop people hitchchiking though and with this other serial killer it seems sthey warned people. Noone in TExas would listen though. Someone warned them. We saw that one girl get kidnapped at the beach by 2 serial killers and they banned all hitchhiking after that. They'd hitchhike up and down teh beach on Spring Break and they'd kidnap someone every year from there, too. WE also saw the other serial killer kill someone one night. The cIA doesnt get involved. Of course the films were real. So there were 20 victims in the back yard that means they sold about 20 videos or so. They advertised them as they'd use their name in a snuff film or whatever. There's a big difference between acting and real life. It's shocking.

Maybe it's that there's more to this case that they didn't mention. The part about the movies they were making. This one's shocking. These kinds of films. The victimes seem to be their neighbors and anyone they came in contact with. They seem to be using martial arts to us and just conquesting- stealing camera equipment when they want they kill for it. The woman with the kid was easy for them to overcome after they took her husband over for the video equipment. Those good cameras cost thousands of dollars. They were just renting them out though. Bet it was expensive and they were just selling videos for like whatever in the back of magazines. So they couldn't afford pro equipment for that video sell idea. It wasn't that expensive to buy their snuff films. That was a child bone in the one video picture the rib bone. Our parents they dug up a body at one of their houses once and we remember seeing the rib bones in the trash can sitting out on the block. yeah how they killed everyone they met. We just don't trust people anymore. They killed 2 kids at least. He told her they gave the kid to another family to raise yeah right. They killed the baby. The kid would need a false ID.

I often think about how Lake assumed that police would find out what all he had done when arrested at the lumber store. Chances are, even with a gun charge, that PD would never have investigated further. Luckily for all of us, he made that assumption. Amazing how what appeared to be a simple case of shoplifting turned into catching two serial killers. Charles Ng had a great attorney, and might have gotten off on the actual murders, if not for Ng's arrogance when demanding to testify. Another "lucky for us" decision.

I wondered that too but the police were extra alert- Wiki: The arresting officer noticed that Lake bore no resemblance to the photo on his California driver's license, which bore the name of Robin Scott Stapley, a San Diego man reported missing by his family several weeks earlier. The Honda was registered to Paul Cosner, who disappeared from San Francisco on November 2, 1984, after leaving his apartment to show the car to someone interested in purchasing it. The car's license plate was registered to yet another missing person, Lonnie Bond, of Wilseyville. The gun was registered to Stapley. He knew he was *****d.

Ng was so violent he thought he can flash a silencer and steal. HE also sold drugs so he may have been high. It was a violent robbery. And he had that gun in the car. When he got caught stealing in Chicago he pulled the gun, too and tried to shoot the security guard. He was probably a violent hit man out of Asia where they have a- lot of martial arts. To go in and steal like that takes some nerve. A- lot of people do pety theft, but still- he did it out in the open. He was daring the guy to call the police on him.

Like i always say people don't just disappear.... something always happens to them, either someone kidnapped and killed and buried them and so on. There are too many wicked people running around free in this world This is why things like this are happening, when they catch them get rid of them, don't even give them a chance because they didn't give the victims a chance.

Every immunity deal should have an ironclad caveat that if the witness lies about their involvement or knowledge of the crimes, their immunity is rescinded. This would prevent people like this Lyn woman and others like her such as Karla Homolka (sp?) from getting away with murder. These killers should not be able to downplay their involvement if they are "helping" the prosecution. They should have to be completely honest and if evidence is found later that shows they are lying then they can be subject to prosecution.

The amount of work put into making this documentary is amazing from the ground work to the trial. Heck I notice that they even changed clothes during the trial I think its very neat little detail and is very rare to see that in a documentary. Amazing work. Edit: I'm more praising the people who made the documentary not the uploader nor the current owner of the license (check their about page and you'll see all the licensee). I learned about this case some time ago and it is one case that has stuck with me to this day. What that jury would have had to have witnessed would have been horrific. What that baby suffered was the one thing that has sat with me, since. I cannot fathom the sheer anguish that mother would have gone through being witness to what that baby endured. To all who suffered during this event, I am truly sorry for what you went through.

As good as this documentary is, there's a lot left out. The case is so multi-faceted that you have to read/watch other content to get more of the story. Charles Ng somehow called one of the jurors at home and made threats, in an attempt to force a mistrial. That juror had nightmares for years after that. He also had plans to escape and murder the prosecutors, the judge, and jury members. That's how diabolical this man is mentally.

These guys and their girlfriend who was complicit, were some of the most repulsive killers I have seen. The girlfriend knew what they were doing and didn’t tell anyone. Then the guy Charles Ng had about 20 thousand tons of paper covering his trial his lawyer who last represented him said and went through lawyers like he was tying his shoes, wasting time and money, until the last lawyer finally took the burden of representing him. I don’t think Lawyers can turn down when they have to do pro Bono’s cases. I think they have to take 2 a year. I know that lawyer wasn’t happy going through all that paper work with the trial. He now makes Japanese orgami in prison last i read. I don’t think he was even a citizen of this country. I think one of the poor victims mothers had to see that awful video they made of her that was shown, that must have been devastating, she was a young mother. I mean that’s your worst nightmare to be captured by 2 sexual deviants who dream of having a sex slave. They were twisted human beings and their crimes were pure evil. Leonard took a cyanide tablet so he wouldn’t be arrested and go to prison.

The attorney who actually represented him during his trial worked for the public defenders office. He was hesitant to take the case because the evidence that needed to be reviewed to be prepared for the trial was so immense that Ngs lawyers before Kelley estimated it could take up to three years for their replacement counsel to be able to get prepared for the case. Working as the public defender he has limited options to truly turn down the case. This wasn’t a pro bono case - it was a court appointment which was Kelley’s job so he was paid whatever he would be paid in his job for the case. As for pro bono work for attorneys it’s certainly recommended and desired but not a requirement. The struggle for this case is that if the court appoints you to represent a client you have to show good cause to decline the appointment which is usually going to be conflict of interest, inability to work with the client, not being able to competently represent the client, or extend financial hardship to represent them. So if this was pro bono for instance, requiring Kelley to spend six years focused almost entirely on this case, it would have been that financial extreme. Kelley was removed at one point largely because Ng was trying to fire him but he was brought back on. Kelley requested to exit the case because Ng didn’t trust him and wouldn’t listen to him but it got to a point where it had cost tax payers so much and had taken so much time that it got pushed through to an extent.
