Mahito is a top tier villain, its rare to see a character who just so unserious and yet so menacing at the same time, plus bro managed to piss off practically the entire fanbase.

7:07 you gotta catch the subtitles here. It explains that after using a domain, you breifly lose access to your curse technique. So Mahito couldn't transfigure him at this moment.

I agree with your take about no character having plot armor being a good thing for this show. As much as Nobara dying was sad, I thought it was a "pleasant" surprise too to kill off a character that everyone thought had plot armor, but I won't be mad if Nobara is saved in some kind of way if the use of her not dying is interesting or if they add a plot twist to it. Like imagine if her body is used in a similar way than not-Geto and she doesn't "die", but her body is used by a villain for his/her/its plans, or some other similar twist.

@@skychieftain he absolutely does not? not dying dosnt meant = plot armor. SPOILER FOR SES 3: After this arc hes literally going to change and think of himself as a cog and become deppresed af. And then proceed to lose every single fight for next 100 chapters. Thats not plot armor. If anything its sukunas plot armor because hes the reason Yuji isnt dead like others.

@@K_Petar not dying in an actual action anime is plot armor. Especially for someone as weak and undeserving as Yuji. He should have died multiple times in every major fight he fought yet he's still here

With the whole plot armour thing, you might also consider that Nitta is doing the only thing he can to bring Yuji back to life. If Todo can't damage Mahito, without Yuji they can't win. Yuji just cried his eyes out and went foetal expressing how everyone is dying around him so giving him a sliver of hope might get him back in the fight (and it did). You could see the life return to Yuji's face and the light in his eyes. I also think on some level it was the author saying to the audience to not get your hopes up because everyone was distraught about Nanami, and then he was alive again and then he was dead.

@@bevil7702 I haven't read the manga, I'm just beeing rational and taking all the facts into account and one of them is Geto's ability is to collect curse. To be fair, I've read up to volume 3 of the manga (which is in season 1).

Crazy fact: Nanami is gege's favorite character and gege killed him off so, that means no one in JJK is safe, which means nobody has plot armor until gege deems it to be. Mahito was a great character, a great villain, who bitched🤷.

Seeing Mahito running away and just terrified of Yuji brought me joy. Man did his actions from season 1 with Junpei came back to haunt him good. Also, Mahito's instant spirit body of distorted killing turned him into Frieza 😂.

the depth and development of itadori that was missing for me in the first season was delivered very well here in this arc and will only improve going forward, it's a shame that the suffering is only beginning

I think todo saw itidoria in the reflection of mahito's eye from the picture. He was gonna give up and then decided to go out with a bang...not knowing his switch technique was too fast for mahito to fully hurt him as it scales by length of the touch and mahito wasnt expecting someone to touch him lagging his response, remember even agains nobara he was shook when she got close he knows people dont want him to touch its a weakness based off your strength, like gojo assuming no one can get past infinity...

ちなみに、MAHITOの声優であるNOBUNAGA SHIMAZAKIはPARASITE(JAPANESE TITLE KISEIJYU)のメインキャラクターのIZUMI SHINICHIも彼の声でした。 遊び心のあるコラージュでしたね😊

I didn't realise it until you pointed it. You're right Yuji could've killed him instead of kicking him away. The kick was a anime original inclusion. An unnecessary one at that. I wonder if manko man will think the same in his video.

Nanami died nobara might be dead Todo lost a hand all because of mahito I understand Yuji walking towards mahito instead of running because he's exhausted (tho he can run, he will in the next episode according to manga) and there's no one else around but not killing him when he gets the chance when he saw so many people transfigured and killed by mahito doesn't make sense.

Mahito was definitely a top villain and he differs from regular Shonen antagonists. However Awake don’t feel bad for him. He literally killed so many people, killed Junpei and Nanami. He’s a sick curse who I’m glade finally got what he deserved. Finally this scene was animated and can’t wait for the next chapter to be animated

One thing is about Shibuya is that it damn near completely unraveled the disaster courses philosophy. "New humans"? Nah. They got butchered by Gojo the human, then butchered by Toji the human, then butchered by Sukuna the human (who is now a cursed object, but still), and now Mahito goes out like a _punk_ , like a _prey animal_ , to Yuji. And if it wasn't for "Geto" the human, they never would've even gotten past Gojo. They were _never_ going to be "the true humans". Just a matter of which human eats them.

I HOPE when he comes back he can either wear a prosthetic, use a cursed tool to make up for the missing hand and he just claps with that, or worst comes to worse he only fights with Yuji and they just use their SUPER amazing tag team bond and they just clap with eachother to switch places... Although the villains just keep turning UP and up so I dont know how well that would work against someone like Geto if he knows they have to touch each other to actually make the move work. Todo is DEFINITELY one of my favorite characters in this show, in a lot of shows.. I love Nanami, and I love Nobara but Todo is peak for me, he is soo unique.

That fight was INCREDIBLE!! I will say this mahito is a great villain ( even though I want him to suffer and die..) his fighting moves were unique, and The terrifying look on mahito face when he's defeated was satisfying. Also I swear todo better not die , he's too great of a character character to die..😢 and if he does live, he better get a prosthetic arm so he can still use his technique..! And yuuji new scars looks both terrify and cool. ( I know it looks painful..🤕) and that scene with todo and takada was epic , I'm ngl And 3:57 yea he does look like migi ! Lol 🤣 5:08 and it does look like Tarzan to me.

I fucking love that you write stuff down Mahitos transfigures the soul. As far as we know Reverse Cursed Technique can not heal soul damage. Imagine there's 2 layers to receiving damage. One is the soul and the other the body. One is visible while the other is not. Todo got damaged both soul and body. If only the body can be healed then the soul will remain the same, with damage. It'd probably just be all blown like how it was when he cut it off. Same with his other hand, it's damaged

At the end of the day Mahito is a months old toddler raised and controlled by a thousand year old body swapping curse user. All I can do is pity him. Same with Dagon, and also Hanami/Jogo if in a different way.

Anybody hit with idle transfiguration loses whatever is hit (besides Yuji bc sukuna) so Nobara’s face/brain and Todo’s hand. It cannot be healed because Mahito attacks the soul which reversed curse technique cannot heal.

Yeah but Nobara is dead, like actualy dead. She hasn’t returned in the manga until this day. No plot armour at all in this show and it continues to shine in that way in layer arcs
