This spin-off of Snow White and the Huntsman acts as both prequel and sequel to the original film, detailing the adventures of Eric the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) as he gets caught up in the rivalry between wicked queens Ravenna (Charlize Theron) and Freya (Emily Blunt). During his quest, Eric is also endangered by his feelings for fellow warrior Sara (Jessica Chastain), since ice queen Freya has decreed that love is forbidden in her kingdom. If anyone watches the scene where Freya is standing with the ice crib she created in memory of her baby-you can see tiny spikes of ice form as she touches it. This shows how powerful her grief is. When her servant arrives with a torch, she screams “No fire” with such rage. This shows how fire is not only her weakness-but it killed her baby. That’s why she hates fire. It brings back this very memory.

It's interesting how she developed ice powers in particular. I mean, ice could represent her personality turning cold and her being frozen in a way due to trauma - unable to grow, but also because her baby was killed by fire. I wonder if she might've developed different powers in response to losing her baby in another way? It's interesting but also sad 😞💔

The sad thing is, the man wasn't lying. He literally had no choice. Ravenna made him kill his own daughter, which he loved very much. She made him betray the woman he loved because she was jealous of an INFANT. The spell Ravenna cast on him seemed to be gone so we see him as his real self. He never got beyond telling her that he had no choice before he was killed by the woman he wanted to marry.

The detail in this is amazing. Before when she breathed out her breath came out normal, but when she got angrier, her breath came out frosty, her skin got paler, her eyes got lighter, little frost formed at her eyes, and her hair gradually started turning white when she screamed. Emily Blunt is such a GREAT ACTRESS❤❤❤

Personally, I go even further : Freya's daughter is Snow White. I mean, we do not see the baby's corpse. And I imagine very well Ravena to oblige the father of the little girl to believe that he killed her, so her sister stops this forbidden liaison, even if Ravena not being able to resolve to kill her niece, until she becomes a problem with her beauty. Sorry if there are any mistakes, English is not my mother tongue.

@@masumahbegum4996 he had a credited role but story wise it was hardly treated better than being an extra. really very sad that he was stuck with such a horrible role. if this had been his first ever acting role it wouldn't be so hideous but it wasn't. his talent deserved way way better.

There should be a third movie to show the survival of her daughter, explaining how maybe a maid servant knowing her wicked sister's scheme swapped the baby. Then the child grew up to be the heroine fighting a villainess and the evil side of the power past down to her from mother to daughter. And maybe having her evil aunt emerging through a twin mirror that no one knew about. I'm just saying.. it could work. Big fan of Huntsman: Winter's War

Beg to disagree. I would be better if we only had three queens to watch (Freya, Snowwhite, Ravenna) but instead we got an hor and a half romantic road trip with two people with absolutely no chemistry.

Wow. What a moment. Like wow. I loved the transition of Freya’s hair and god, the pain in her voice. The pain the anger, the sadness. All of that emotion out into one scream. Where did Emily Blunt find the energy and power to deliver such a good scream? What inspired such greatness?

Did any one notice the colour of her hair turning white that was amazing And another thing that touched my heart was that in whole movie she just pretented that she has no LOVE left in her Heart but in real she was really a soft Hearted Queen😘😍 Love for Freya❤❤
