I have operated QRP most of the time and find it very fun. Resonant full size antennas really help to be heard well. Thank you for showing off the video.

Outstanding video! I really glad I picked up the CrankIR. I am still debating between the IC-705 and the KX-2, though starting to lean towards the IC-705

Marveleusse! As it comes to an intensive QRP HF contesting or SOTA/ POTA activations I could hardly imagine anything could beat the Elecraft KX2 so far. But here comes the IC-705 and it sounds like very serious competitor with VHF/UHF and all these very useful utilities like wi-fi etc. So I am definitely might go for the 705 in some future but before pushing the button it is so interesting to listen to what other people think about the performance of this radio, especially in comparison with other rigs. May be you are going to make another video about KX2 vs 705 ? Would be fun! 73 Linas LY2H

Believe me Pascal, I love your videos, especially your detailed review of the '7610' but I gotta tell you that $2000 for a 10 watt radio is WAY out of line for ICOM. Definitely not on my purchase list.

Yes it’s expansive, that’s why I didn’t bought many radio this year, since I was waiting for this one, otherwise I have to sell another radio to get a new one. But beleive me it really worth it. 73

It’s only a year later and I picked up an IC-705 for $1080 USD. It was only used in a shack about four times and is in pristine condition with the screen protector still on the screen. It’s a great little radio and my purpose for it is doing POTA using CW with my Chameleon antenna options in the MPAS 2.0 kit. I’ve used it for VARA HF and WinLink on 80 and 40 meters and it performed very well on the low power capabilities of the radio. I do more listening than talking with it on SSB in the shack, but mainly because I have my IC-7300 up at the same time.

Bonjour Redouane. Vous avez tellement raison, nous les KZfaqrs, nous cherchons l'attention des abonnés en leur offrant du nouveau contenu. Il y a donc une tendance à faire des évaluations des équipements les plus récents, car ceci attire les gens. J'ai ralenti les évaluations des équipements cette année, plusieurs personnes m'écrivent pour me demander de faire des évaluations d'autres équipements, mais je ne peux pas tous les acheter. De plus, j'aime mieux me concentrer sur les produits qui m'intéressent, car j'ai vraiment le goût de maîtriser l'équipement et l'évaluation par la suite est plus facile et plus authentique. Dans mes vidéos les plus populaires de ma chaîne, la majorité sont des vidéos d'information et non pas des évaluations d'équipement. J'ai plusieurs projets dans le collimateur du genre et je vais en produire plus dans le futur. Merci pour votre commentaire. 73 Pascal VA2PV
