Pat, in 1985 my friend and I were in middle school, and we came to see the Reckless concert in Terre Haute, Indiana. Before the show we ran into you and Bryan in the mall at a store called The Record Bar. Bryan was buying his opening act’s record (can’t remember the name). You were eight feet tall with spiky hair and introduced yourself as Bryan’s drummer and bodyguard. 😁 You guys talked to us and we still talk about it to this day. Thank you for taking the time to make a couple of eleven year-olds feel like rock stars and lifelong fans. ❤️🥁🎸

That's the beauty of rock, indeed not too technical as progressive metal or fusion drumming but the groove and the power delivered by Pat in here force respect. His enthusiasm reminds me of Chad Smith and Brian Tichy

As an 80s music fanatic, this was always one of my Top 10 songs, precisely because of the drums. I was never a drummer myself...but I airdrummed the HELL out of this song every time I heard it...and I still do, 40 years later! So awesome to hear how they came up with the different parts. The breakdown after the 2nd chorus was my favorite part, especially the pairs of bass drum hits...awesome, awesome song!

High PAT! Just want to say that when I think of that 80s rock and Bryan Adams, I think of his vocals and guitar work and your drumming. Always thought the drumming was perfection on all that music. A drummer has a million ways to play something, a few hundred that will sound good and a handful that will sound great. You always ended up in that handful of ways. Regardless of if it came from your head or ideas of Bryan, you playing it make it great.

Thank you Drumeo for all that you do for us ,the drum community from all walks of life. I narrowly avoided death in my home due to a massive blood clot on my heart that caused everything to be blocked ..heart, all ventricles. I felt like I lost my left side waist down..no chest pain at all..the clot broke down into over a dozen smaller ones that went down my legs. I called 911 within seconds had I waited, I’d be dead. Drumeo videos like this and especially the ones with drummers who’ve heard a band out of their wheelhouse for the first time and they play their interpretations of music they’ve heard only then. Since I’m still pretty weak physically and am aways from playing drums, your videos have helped me immensely getting through this fucked up deal..THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

LOVE THIS SONG!!! In more ways than one as family moved to SoCal in Jan 1968 from Michigan! But, Our Summer of '69 was our MOST FREEDOM EVER!!! We lived on Lake St in Altadena, up Lake from Pasadena! The Jr Hi was right across the street & in summer they had gym open (am thinking that's where DLR practiced his gymnastics!), they'd spin 45's in smaller room & you could buy cups of pop! Our Fav @ the time? Why suicides of course! Sis & I still reminise about that fun Summer! Both too young to drive but also got our first pair of Vans @ their Flagship store right there on Lake St! For a "whopping" $5.!!! What? HELL YEAH! ❤ Boy, those really were the days! YEAH, BABY!!! ROCK ON!!! ✌️🤘

Pat is a great drummer and delivered well on the tracks he did for Bryan. Why did Mickey Currey get the long term drum chair I wonder? Mickey has recorded on most of Bryan’s catalogue. While Pat has great energy and rock chops Mickey to me looked like he was doing it smoother and with little more flow on his fills. Anyway both of them great players but Mickey was more my favourite. Great video and an iconic song of my Eighties teen generation 😎🥁
