I saw Journey on this tour with Brian Adams opening. Steve Perry was obviously the star of the show, but they had a sick rhythm section.

É tão prazeroso ver o Portnoy passando por isso.... só assim para ele saber como nos sentimos quando precisamos aprender uma música do Dream Theater

What always stumped me is how jazz drummers that don't use sheet music can get through some of those 10 minute pieces with multiple sections and feel changes without getting confused. I mean, a rock drumming ogre like me can barely get through something like Tunnel of Love by Dire Straits without forgetting at least one section and messing up.

Danny is his own drum circle 🔴. Danny's playing taught Chuck Norris Capoeria. They hire Danny in third world countries to ward off invaders.

I had the blessing of seeing the Petrucci tour in Atlanta. What I didn’t realize until Petrucci said it was that it was the first night of the tour and the first time they’d played on stage together since 2010. The joy on both of their faces was infectious. After the second or third song, Petrucci told the audience, “guys. I have to be honest with you. I keep forgetting you’re out there. I’m playing with my friend and having so much fun.”

why do drummers always have to endure this stuff how do you make a guitarist go through this shit?

Am I the only one who gets a kick out of other drummers being afraid of metal and double bass in general? For some reason I love when someone calls that out. It must be an ego thing right? Like hearing that just feeds my ego I think? Anyway she did great, really enjoyed this. Her energy is fucking awesome!

Mike is no slouch.... an understatement, I know. After 5.5 hours, he not only did a great job, and showed us how legit he is, but that he's a gracious artist full of complimemts for Danny. Mike solidifies my fandom for him.
