Episode 3 of The Idaho Gold Dredging Chronicles. Join us as we attempt to run production with the proline 6-inch dredge. Will we answer the age-old question: Is 6 inches enough? Well, if you're a dredger then the answer is bigger is usually better!! Especially on a big river! Only time and more dredging will tell if we are able to get on good enough gold to stay put!

Great video Matt,ive been thinking about the Yadkin river as im watching this series and im thinking an 8 inch would be ideal for the Yadkin as ive heard there is massive overburden to deal with on most of the river,i do know there is gold on the Yadkin but it needs a big dredge i think.

Great video Matt, Too bad about not getting a better gold total. Next time you are in Idaho give me a shout and I will show you some better spots on the Salmon that you might want to try out.

Thanks! And hey it was a prospecting trip. I was hoping for good gold but prospecting is just that lol. I’ve always said if i moved to a new area it would take me at least a year of prospecting to get onto good ground. So 3 weeks wasn’t enough lol. I appreciate the offer. It will be at least a few years before I am back out that way. Thanks for watching. More episodes to come!

With that short of a sluice box for a 6", you should at least go with a Dream Mat Dredge Mat.

It’s a 6 foot by 22” wide box. Longer and wider then the Keene mini 6. And sorry not putting DM in it just for the simple fact of cost. Not going to argue it’s not worth the time or effort. Thanks for the input and for watching!

Hey Matt what does proline run for there cheater/inspection mat? Ive been watching older proline videos but none show the top mat.
