I went into 'The Idea of You' with low expectations, thinking it would be a typical romance drama. But Anne Hathaway's phenomenal performance and the exceptional directing completely surprised me! The storyline may seem simplistic at first, but it masterfully explores the complexities of relationships, love, and human emotions in a way that feels incredibly relatable. I was deeply invested in the characters' experiences, feeling their pain, fear, and longing as if I had gone through it myself. The film's portrayal of the challenges of unconventional relationships and the importance of empathy and understanding is outstanding. The chemistry between the leads is undeniable, and the way the story tackles themes of love, betrayal, and personal growth is both poignant and thought-provoking.

I loved loved loved this film. Anne Hathaway is perfect for this role. Nicholas Galitzine is super...I see a great future for him. I have watched this film a few times...(I missed some of the texting and verbiage). Music was happy, and the "boy band" very entertaining. It'll be one year that I lost my wonderful husband, and this film just made me feel better. Thanks!

If anyone listens to the book author's explanation about how she wrote the book, this story has some significance to her own life and NOTHNG to do with Harry Styles. The book was written before Harry's relationship. I wish people would stop referring to or comparing this story to him.

Oh so adorable! A very enjoyable movie. Anne Hathaway is, as ever, excellent! I am convinced by her! Supporting people are super too. Everyone will 'just hate' the father! This is a great way to spend a couple of hours and hopefully remember it's my life to live. I must live a life of love and compassion for me too! Thanks!

I absolutely loved it!! From the book, to the trailer to the actual film... It's a feel good film, asides all the other obvious take aways (Older Woman vs younger Man Stigma). Anne Hathaway has been and will always be a favorite of mine and Nick.. may I just say that as a 40 year old woman, I'd date you,follow you if you really were Hayes Campbell!! Acting superb, and the Music was great! Have watched it 2ce back to back, an will watch again!

Not what I expected. I think Anne is a good actress. I was hoping it would have more substance like “ Under the Tuscan Sun or Eat, Pray, Love”. It’s another Cougar movie. Jennifer Lopez already did this, but he lived next door. It shows a 40 year old woman following a young guy on tour . It makes society think that older, educated women will drop everything and hurt her child to go romping around.

This was one of the best movies I have ever watched It was beautifully made and I enjoyed ever single second, so you might be wondering why I reviewed this movie 1 star? The ending. The most disgusting and unsatisfying ending I have ever seen Truly I am in a constant state anger and I need to take it out on whoever created that ending. -Deka

Have not read book but reading this kind of story with detailing might be good but as a movie it's quite average romcom, i guess some novels should not made as movies, cause story is very basic, but yeah actors did good job

I thought I'd left my sunglasses on. Even the daytime shoots were badly lit. Had to give it up.

Absolutely appalling. This form of art is not to be veiwed by any form of life. This is the most cringe and distasteful movie of all time. Horrendous is being generous. Watch this movie if you enjoy watching cheap, non-comedic, romance movie, this movie is perfect for you. Grab some popcorn and prepare to tear your eyes and ears out. So glad this movie didn’t go to theatres so poor humans can waste their hard earned life savings to watch this garbage. A-list actors in this movie must’ve been desperate for cash, cause this was a low point in their careers.
