Just watched this movie, it's so much more than the trailer! It's about how men getting younger girls are 'Sugar Daddies' but women wth younger guys are labelled 'Cougars'. Also, about how society tells women that after 20s your life is over & not to look forward to anything in your 30s/ 40s. Nice movie, it was about time a movie was released on this topic...

It is proven time and time again that some age gap relationships are toxic, particularly when the younger partner is 18 at the start of it. There's a whole reddit sub detailing toxic age gap relationships. Age gap isn't as bad if both partners are 30+. A young 20 something is usually in a completely different life stage than someone in their 30s plus the power imbalance.

This was such a fantastic film! So much more than a 40 year old woman and a 24 year old man dating. It shows the hypocrisy of societal norms as well as the pressures celebrities go through. And on an unrelated note, I hope to look as amazing as Anne Hathaway when I'm 40 and I'm almost 30! I need to know her eye care secret! So, I’m 41 and I’m currently falling for someone 15 years younger. I couldn’t stand him at first honestly, he seemed immature. But, as time goes on I see in him what I’ve always imagined my future would be. To me this wasn’t just a movie, it felt like my real life. Because people do judge you as an older woman being with a younger man. That’s the harsh reality, unfortunately.

Years back i met a guy at work that was 12 years younger than me, he did not care about the age gap at all, we went on a few dates but i could never get past the age gap. He was a great guy and pursued me for years. I hope he is doing well now.

Literally what was going through my mind while watching the trailer: two beautiful, talented, socially privileged people meeting and falling in love: Groundbreaking! Lol. That being said, I love Nicholas Galitzine. I'm so happy to see he is slowly making a name for himself. I might watch this for him if nothing else. Hoping he gets better and better projects coming his way in the future!

People hate happy women" I know it's just the trailer, and hopefully the movie will explore this topic with more depth, because it's a really interesting, layered discussion that deserves more than this internet dog whistle summary. People aren't mad you're happy, that's a very surface level, shallow characterization the trailer itself disputes (the cougar article). People are pissed because she's much older than him, and why he isn't dating someone closer to his age. That opens up a much different conversation about age gaps, what older women can and can't do in their romantic lives and who they can be with. The men (like Harry Styles) get very little negative feedback, and women (like Olivia Wilde) are viciously dissected and criticized for years. Hopefully I'm wrong, and the movie will go in depth about this topic.

In the novel, they had a 20 year gap and it was still beautiful with the way everything was written and I can't wait to see the movie version now. Can't wait 😍 Thank you for adapting this to a movie ❤
