I recently purchased a new chair and wanted to give myself a shot at making a review of the chair.
It's not osu! content but I don't care.

I know it's not an osu! video but I wanted to be creative and make something new, hopefully you don't mind! Next week I'll be looking at the Oculus Rift and playing osu! with it, maybe you've noticed some easter eggs lying around in the video ;)

Sitting has a lot to do with osu though, so making a chair review is not exactly the worst idea. I feel like comfort and ergonomics hasn't been talked about enough in the osu community, so it's nice to see someone take the step in the right direction here :)

The ikea markus chair cushions was better imo, more comfy, i had to return this one and ended up getting the markus. Very pleased with it. It doesn’t have that much adjustability, but the comfort makes up for it, try reviewing that when you get the chance.

got this as an update to the markus, I like the firmer cushion, my markus cushion gave up in 1 year of heavy usage, used in buy-back program that ikea provides and got a discount for the new chair

Thanks for the review! Have you had the chance to compare the Järv to the Markus? I've been using a used Markus for 2 years now and the seat cushion is approaching its end of life as i'm starting to feel the wood underneath, so I'm looking to either get a new Markus now or go for the Järv

Unfortunately besides the short test at the store I have not had the chance to extensively test out the Markus. As far as opinions go I've read a bunch saying that the Markus has better cushioning then the Järv but I got used to it by now so yeah..

ikea gives 10 year guarantee if u have proof of purchase so try and get them to replace it. You could also just buy a new pillow

Koristis je par dana, da li su potrebni nasloni za ruke? Doduse svaka stolica koju sam koristio do sad je to imala ali mi je cimanje da idem do Bg da probam ovu. Gledao sam ovu i Markusa ova mi deluje dosta bolje. Sta ti se nije svidelo kod Markusa?

Nisu mi dimenzije bile dobre, imam problem sa ledjima i onaj jastuk pozadi mi nije uopste prijao, a ovde mogu da menjam polozaj jastuka tako da mi lepo stoji i drzi me. Naslon za glavu mi je isto bio cudan kod markusa, tako da sve u svemu odlucio sam da uzmem jaerfjallet najvise zbog namestanja stolice da meni najvise prija. Sto se tice naslona za ruke, stolicu mozes da koristis bez nje, montira se samo sa 3 srafa i to je to, meni su bas meh izgledali, nemaju nikakve opcije namestanja tako da kakve su, takve su

@@0x84f Koristim je vec par dana, stolica je dosta dobra. Zamerku imam samo na naslon, kad zakljucavam ne odgovaar mi nijedan polozaj ili sam previse uspravan ili zavaljen :D Ali navicicu se na to, to vuecm od prosle stolice taj polozaj neki. Potpora ledja je odlicna, uzeo sam sa rukohvatima i morao da prebacim tastaturu i misa na sto, izvlacili su se dole ali rukohvati su visoki i onda ne mogu da izvucem. Deo za sedenje jeste malo tvrdji ali i to je stvar navike. Inace odlicna stolica za ove pare.

Hi! After some time what's your take on the chair (JÄRVFJÄLLET)? Also, if you don't mind, how tall are you? I'm 1.75m (with proportional lower and upper body) and found Ikea Markus lumbar support terrible; non-adjustable hard foam. I'm considering buying this model instead. I can't know how it would fit me (in my country, Ikea has this model available only for online orders), so my only option is to hear peoples experiences... Btw, I'm a programmer, so I need the chair to be comfortable (especially for my neck and back) for loooong hours (4-18hrs a day) Have a good one!

Hey, you might find this chair uncomfortable after 30 minutes or so once you first get it as I did, but eventually you get used to the foam and don't experience any lack of comfort (took me about a month to fully adjust). I am also about 1.70m and find the adjustability that the chair offers perfect and once you lock in your supports you should be just fine.

@@0x84f People say the backrest is a bit narrow and if you've got wide shoulders, your shoulder blades will scuff against the metal bars running through the sides of the backrest. Have you experienced any of that? How has your back (especially the lumbar area) and neck been on this chair after long periods of sitting? Thanks for being so helpful!

@@manuelavendano3891 i had no such issues but i can see it happening if your shoulders are wide. My neck and back are doing just fine, especially if i sit straight up and set up the back to be straight

Visok sam oko 170cm i u najnizoj poziciji oba stopala skroz dodiruju pod. Mada sam primetio da to takodje zavisi i od dubine sedista :)

Your last point has been a huge deal breaker: wheels don't lock while sitting. Might possible have to look for something else , because we don't have carpet but lament floors smh

Which is better, leather or fabric?

Depends what you like, but fabric loses its color over time and leather rips and deteriorates. Pick your poison

Not exactly what you mean the Jarvfjallet is much more slim and narrow so unless you are slim and narrow its really uncomfortable as half your body is hanging off the back
