That's just what happens in Asia countries. Giving things with both hands to people is basic respect. You don't see that anywhere in Western countries. You'll be incrediby surprised at how different the customer service is in Asia compared to Westerners. Take a fuel station for example. In Western countries, you park your car, you get out, fill it with petrol and you go into the gas station to pay. In Taiwan, you drive in, they fill your tank for you, wipe down your car on the outside, they bring the bill to you and you get freebies too.

Yes there are a lot of food trucks but due to state regulations some states won't let you cook on the spot, everything has to be cooked at a location then load up on the food truck. So just because they sell food on the street doesn't mean it's street food.
