@@LovelyLouLouDesigns so my turner is level, and my cup is level on the turner. But when I spin it some, it shows its not level.. it goes back and forth as it turns. How do I fix that?? 🙏

I have this sometimes when the arm is straight but the football or pool noodle is not even or straight. Try fixing it from there.

I got this one from Home Depot. The corner level isn't necessary though. Most levels will work for this. I just had this one on hand.

Thanks for sharing. Where can I find those metal adjusting rods you have under each turner? That would work great at adjusting level.

It's an adjustable pipe bracket. I got mine off Amazon but I imagine most hardware stores would have them as well. I think they are meant for ceiling or walls so those are some keywords that might work for you in your search. 🙂

TFS. My apartment is not level. Therefore I have to level everything including stove and frig🙄🙄🙄. I learned the hard way to check the level of my turner. I got a bubble one day and it crushed me. So, it is the cup that must be leveled also?
@LovelyLouLouDesigns
@LovelyLouLouDesigns 3 жыл бұрын
As long as your cup is reading level on the bottom as shown, you shouldn't have issues with the epoxy running up or down your tumbler. I have my turner propped up on pieces of wood and silicone I jammed under it because the floor is on an angle for the drain.

Oh my I need help! I purchased a steel 4 cup turner. By the time I get the football and wineglass on my PVC pipe, it’s no longer level. It drives me nuts! I have had to place paper cups underneath the bottom of the glass to push the glass up and try to help it level. I don’t know what else to do. Do you have any ideas?
@LovelyLouLouDesigns
@LovelyLouLouDesigns Жыл бұрын
Is it the turner that isn't level or the football on the arm? My first turner definitely dips forward. I used various items around my workshop to shim it up just like you are saying until the arms are level. If the football is the issue, you may need new turner arms. I like pool noodles because the hole is guaranteed to be in the centre. But over time they may deflate unevenly and will need to be replaced.

@@LovelyLouLouDesigns thank you for responding! Before I put the football or the glass, the PVC pipe is level. Once I get the wine glass on the football on it though, it’s no longer level I’m trying to figure out a way I can brace it without getting resin all over my brace. What irritates me is that it is steel and it already has one brace on there, so I don’t know why I keep having these issues
@LovelyLouLouDesigns

@@herrod777 I totally understand your frustration. It sounds like there's a good chance it's the football that isn't level. This can happen because the foam has either deflated unevenly, or it was never put center on the arm to begin with. My football arms are Frankenstein's from adding padding to try and level them out.
@herrod777
@herrod777 Жыл бұрын
I didn’t think of that! I also got some of the supports that you showed and it seems to help a little. Now I have another problem lol! How do I stop the resin from dripping onto my foam and then onto the inside of my glass question cup. Thank you so much for all your help and advice!
@LovelyLouLouDesigns
@LovelyLouLouDesigns Жыл бұрын
@@herrod777 I try to use foam that is shorter than the length of the cup. That way the foam stays free from epoxy drips. If you get some drips on the edges or inside, you can use a qtip and acetone to clean the epoxy while it still wet. If it dried, you can usually pop off with a sharp xacto knife

I built my wife a turner and she is having the muffin top/bottom issue. I put a level on the shift and it shows the shift is level, from what I'm gathering from your video is the cup itself needs to be level even if that makes the turner itself not level?
@LovelyLouLouDesigns
@LovelyLouLouDesigns 3 жыл бұрын
Correct. My floor is on an angle for a drain so even though my turner is level, when I have my tumblers on it, I get a downward slope. I just put a few pieces of cardboard under it in the front until the bottom of my tumblers measure level. I also can get issues if my football or noodle isn't even on the arm anymore. Sometimes they deflate on one side and it affects the tumbler. Another issue could be too much epoxy.

I checked the floor, table, and the turner. All have my stuff has came out weird for the longest time. I don’t know what’s wrong but could it be possible that I’m putting the foam roller in the wrong spot?

If the bottom does get a bubble on it and it doesn’t sit level, how can I fix it?
@LovelyLouLouDesigns
@LovelyLouLouDesigns 3 жыл бұрын
How big is the bubble? There are a few things you can do. If the bubble is large and you can see it, you may want to start with Dremel and carefully shave it down a bit before doing next step. If it's minor, you can take a piece of sandpaper and lay it on a first surface grit side up, then scrape the bottom of the tumbler over it applying medium to hard pressure. By using a flat surface you are able to evenly sand the bottom to get it never again. If I have a lot of epoxy in the bottom, I will sometimes flip the tumbler upside down and use an electric Palm sander. You need to be careful if you do this but to sand too deep and to keep even pressure around.
@kimw4324
@kimw4324 3 жыл бұрын
@@LovelyLouLouDesigns It is a fairly large bubble that is very noticeable. I don't own any electrical tools so I may try the sandpaper trick to see if I can sand it out to where it sits flat.
