so I had ordered the same molds. I have 20 0z straight skinny tumblers and the resign does not just fit in. it needs to be pushed in. I even popped out the slider for the mouth piece. and if I get the magnets in the front down pops up in back. any tips?
@LovelyLouLouDesigns5 ай бұрын
It sounds like the mold is too big for the lid. If it's off by only a small amount, maybe try sanding the edge down a bit. Depending on how deep your lid is, maybe try thicker magnets

@@LovelyLouLouDesigns I’am 55, we knew when I was in second grade that I had it but nobody really knew what to do about it. I met a very much retired special ed reading teacher about ten years ago. She was running an antique store. Needless to say we spent hours talking instead of me shopping. She taught me so much about myself that afternoon that it changed my life. I don’t know about your son but I learn by watching. Written instruction just confuses me, I can’t comprehend it. Your son will benefit so much from you being involved. I know I will keep watching your videos and most likely referencing them. I also want to say if he has a hard time early on, have patience. I hated school early on because I couldn’t comprehend, but by middle school I started figuring it out. I loved it at that point. He will do better than I did just because they know better how to handle it. Plus he has you! Thank you again for what you are doing, and I hope the best for you and your family journeys

Love this ornament!! I want to make one for my daughter. I need to use two different shades of glitter. Can that be done? I haven't found a good video yet. Help!!
@LovelyLouLouDesigns6 ай бұрын
I think it would be possible though difficult. I would start with the bottom glitter colour and pour it inside on the side without the sealer, then move it around the bottom half only and dump the excess from the side that doesn't have the sealer again. Then you can add your secondary colour. It would probably be easier to do the double glitter colour on the outside and seal it with an epoxy but if you aren't set up for that, it would be a pain. I now want to try this lol

Hey i recently started making cups and my cups always come out uneven . Any tips?
@LovelyLouLouDesigns7 ай бұрын
Usually uneven cups have to do with them not being level. I have a tutorial about how to check if your tumbler is level. Another thing that can cause that is using too much epoxy. Epoxy can be a bit of a balance: you don't want so much that it is completely flooding the tumbler and dripping, and you don't want too little that you are spreading the epoxy too thin and stretching it to cover the surface.
@migdalizmolina72887 ай бұрын

I'm confused by your comment about printing on polyester acetate. Number one I followed your link and it doesn't say polyester anywhere. #2. I found this video searching for instructions for sublimating on polyester film. I guess this is not it. Your just printing regular ink onto acetate that does not need to be polyester, correct?
@LovelyLouLouDesigns7 ай бұрын
Correct, this is not a sublimation tutorial. I am using a laser printer with a plastic transparency film for laser printers. Inkjet transparency film would be use for an inkjet printer.

how long do you let the resin sit under the light?
@LovelyLouLouDesigns8 ай бұрын
That depends on your light and the resin. I usually do 30-60 seconds to set it up. Final cure is about 2 minutes. But I will also put it in the window in the sun for a few minutes to make sure nothing is left tacky when it's done

Hi Lou Lou. I have 2 laser printers. One really old HP and the 2nd one is a Canon Image class Laser printer. However I was told that my Canon likely cannot accept the transparency film as it gets so hot and would melt the film..however you are mentioned you use a different setting because of that? Can you explain? Also I have a Cricut, can you explain an easier way to do this design/ While you were as succinct as possible, there were so many steps and prompts to choose. It sounds easy for a true professional and someone who is much more Computer literate than I am. thanks so much!!

Hi Lou. Thanks for your great video and your lovely work! I am confused about the print and cut and then the acetate. Are you actually printing the design onto the acetate? If so can you explain this, and then are you only using the Cricut to cut the shape of the ornament for the acetate? I have never tried any print and cut projects. Please clarify for me. thanks so much!
@LovelyLouLouDesigns10 ай бұрын
Hi! Yes. I print directly onto the acetate. I prefer to mirror my image and print it upside down since I think it makes the text look better. I use a high quality print setting and a glossy paper for the paper type. The Cricut will read the registration marks and cut the design perfectly. I have another tutorial on here, the ornament with the ice castle. I go into a lot of detail about the print and cut feature there. 🥰
