A play is not meant to be read except by actors playing a part or producers and directors preparing a production. Reading a play is a ridiculous thing to ask students to do in an English class.

yes, I agree with you. However, not all plays have an adaptation to the cinema or theatre.

+Pablo Luna Ruiz You mean adaptation to the cinema, period. Not to the theatre, as they already are written, thought out and adapted for the theatre. That's what they are, basically, theatre scripts. :)
