I have always loved the ingenuity of the Impossible Dovetail Box, how it looks impossible to make and impossible to get apart, until you discover the secret. We cut one in half with our 60,000 psi waterjet and found out how it worked.

Could you try making a "real impossible dovetail" by making the cut in what is initially one block of wood, instead of connecting two together? Or would that not work, because, cutting each side all the way through would, allow it to slide both ways, making like 6 pieces?

If it was 10 years ago I would have had a few to send you. When I was working on Pontiac GTPs I always had 2 or 3 around with scored cases or rotors with the coating worn off. Now though, I've been working on turbo Bimmers, so no Eatons left. :(

Barton abrasives sells waterjet valve and intensifier parts, check with them for the normally closed valve rebuild kit we use their parts on our KMT waterjet equipment. Keep it up guys👍

I'm not going to search for peoples posts so I bet I'm not the first to mention this. Lithium is highly reactive to water. You could always make a video cutting through a chunk of it(there might be fire if you do)

Be careful when cutting open ipods/ipads/electronic devices with batteries in them in general, especially apple products. I take apart iPads for a living and put them back together with non broken parts and the batteries are super DUPER flammable and will likely catch fire if punctured or cut. We keep a bin full of kitty litter beneath every work station to throw the ipad into if it catches fire. It does a very nice job of suffocating the flame. Also the gasses that come out aren't like deadly or anything but yeah try not to breath that stuff in lol.
