Did you get into the game a bit later? I started in season 2, did daily quests, would probably average about 30 gold a day from wins, and was alright at arena - got each wing as they came out no problem.

I download and watch on 100x speed. It's really important that I watch everything as fast as possible so I can get to the next video and do the same. Sometimes your brain matter leaks out of your ears, but you just sort of push it back in. It's probably fine. 🙏😇

Not just you; you are absolutely correct! 👍 Similar to MMOs. It’s just too much content, but you can hide that. The biggest issue is the development these sort of live-service games go through: power creep and crazier and more over-the-top. 30 keywords, diamond, gold, whatever-the-fck-these-other-ones-are-that-don’t-even-fit-aesthetically cards; gazillion hero portraits (many of which don’t fit aesthetically at all; good luck finding any consistency as a noob; “oh, that’s a rogue?!”); huge card sets; standard/wild/arena/shmarena/shamalamadingdong etc. It’s just too much, but if you cut that down, then the players already playing want more - you can’t balance that perfectly; ever. HS really was much simpler (but not worse; people had fun!) back then. It’s like with movies or bands; the band Kiss was super outrageous and scandalous back then & then people had to one up and one up in order to still shock, until you reached a limit. What is novel and shocking today? Everything just has a natural lifespan, it seems. Also, HS really looks like an actual mobile game in many aspects today; they just don’t care about these fine details anymore that no one notices but people made 40 minute KZfaq essays about (like miniscule but important UX or interface design concepts - it was fascinating, how HS is basically all aesthetically and narratively packed into this book/game board that folds out in the intro; it’s also why they didn’t allow more deck slots, because it would need a slider: what would be an infinite “slider” on a board game, right? It’s also why the board has this crevice/fold in the center and so on; it’s really cool! it is not consistent anymore; now you have pop-up like it’s freakin 2004!); all that helped people new to the game. If you start it now, you’re blasted with crap like it’s Raid Shadow Legends (tm) 🤤

I mean, he's using meta decks. The way we beat it at the time is by completely cheesing them with freeze/Alexstraza/whatever exploited their concept.

@@Darkprosper Yeah I'm not so much commenting on what he's using but thinking back to whatever the hell I used. 9 years ago feels like there weren't as many tools as you have now, so like you said it was always cheese, I think I only beat it after GvG came out. It got way easier with the patron meta as well if I remember.

It isn’t the token it generates has text on it so where it doesn’t give a corpse

All cards that say they 'raise' a corpse into a new minion, that new token doesn't leave corpses. Otherwise those cards would result in infinite loops.

Necromancer would have summoned a 2/3, so Patchwork would have attacked into it. Hence, the lethal.
