@jeremybrown9179 Buckley still gets along great with the other guys. But his experience on the "Fwends Reunited" special soured him on any future Inbetweeners stuff, I'd bet. Here's an excerpt from an article about it: -------------- “It became a thing that wasn’t a celebration of this good thing I did in my life, it was me being taken the piss out of for hours on end,” he said. “I didn’t have the personality or the intelligence to cope with it, especially when you’re up against someone like Jimmy Carr, who’s super quick and super funny. So I come across as a complete moron through the whole thing and also there was a bit where I got stuck. “There would be a couple of times where I would say something and Jimmy would go, ‘Still bulls****ing.’ I got caught where I was acting up as Jay because there was an audience there of Inbetweeners fans and I got caught in this spot between Jay and myself where myself was going, ‘You’re acting like a f***ing idiot, you’re being a moron, you’re being a d***.’

Perhaps because he smiles so much Joe still looks young enough to be Simon again. He is one of those rare people who cheers you up because he looks so cheerful. It is hard to reconcile the Blake of 2023 with the Neil of Rudge Park - he looks quite serious now.

Blake is so charismatic. Can’t quite remember the phrase but the smartest / most articulate really do play the fool the best. Shame to hear that the guys haven’t watched the series’s as much - sounds obvious but they’ll have a completely different relationship to the show than we do. Seriously interested in where they think the characters would be now - I want a special 😂

But it would have to represent school and kids that age now (which seems VERY different) so maybe that would work for teenagers now, but for us who were that age when the Inbetweeners came out, it wouldn’t work

James did Comic Con Liverpool with Simon and Joe last year, Blake was unavailable. So think same would happened here to James if he's filming new stuff. Hope one day we can get 4 of them together again. They are all still good mates.

.....American (or should I say, 'Yank'?) here who just binged the first film & three [abbreviated] 'seasons' through Tubi; watched 'Inbetweeners 2' before even realizing there'd been a TV series - maybe it's my age (61 - didn't see a ton of 'Benny Hill' on ITV this side of the proverbial 'big pond', decades ago - ENOUGH though to draw parallels with some scenes - to say NOTHING of 'American Pie') but, was really disappointed by both what was DONE to Lucy's character, turning her into a split-personality NIGHTMARE (can only SURMISE that Simon's risking his life to reach shore more quickly , somehow affected the way she saw him? Or yeah, maybe I'm overthinking it - and would HAVE to imagine Tamla as an actress wholly WELCOMED extended scenery-chewing / 'table-turning' - but, LIKED 'sweet Lucy'; was HAPPY for Simon!) and effectively ripping him off yet AGAIN (there's NO doubt in my mind he will always love Carli, and finding Lucy when he did KINDA gave him a break from that perpetual heartache) while Jay ultimately being SHUNNED by Jane, robbed the franchise of a CHANCE to (at least SLIGHTLY) esteem him - just be KINDER to them ALL around; be ONE thing if a third film DID follow to make the sequel feel SOMEwhat like 'HEAD', where Rafelson & Schnieder more or less saw the Monkees as MASOCHISTS (especially evoked by the boys' Outback desert scenes - Dolenz's with the Coke machine, is truly ICONIC; James Buckley superficially resembles a far-more-RANDY [Scouse Git ; ] Davy Jones - also wondering how much Elyes Gabel might've drawn from Simon's portrayal of Will for 'Scorpion's Walter O'Brien; they DO remind me of each other a LOT) to ostensibly torpedo THEIR small-screen saga 56 (!) years past.....would certainly welcome Simon, Joe, Blake and / or James' take concerning as much; lastly, was GRATIFYING to 'meet' friend Thomas Walsh's (who I actually HAVE several times, when he toured with Pugwash around New England) motivation for "Dear Belinda [Stewart-Wilson]" (featuring Ben Folds, ANOTHER brief acquaintance) as Will's mother; she'd definitely inspire ME to write such a song.....kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gZ1_e5d2ksnIeH0.html
