The Incomplete Guide to Fraser Island

3 жыл бұрынFrom damaging your vehicle to taking a poo in the bush, this is the guide you didn't know you needed. Camping on Fraser Island is expensive, dirty, and often wet. It pays to know how to get bogged, spend all your money and use alcohol to cope with uninteresting lakes. Have a pleasant stay.
A few people have pointed out that the campsite in the north is not Waddy Point as we stated, but Sandy Cape. This is correct - Waddy Point is a bit further south of Sandy Cape. Sorry about that.

Fun fact I may or may not have taken off on the beach and forgot to release my hand brake, lucky I have a 20 year old ute that basically has no hand brake

As a couple who both don't like spiders and snakes, how much shall we avoid camping on the island, or should we even just avoid the island completely? 😅

Absolutely not! Fraser’s too beautiful to avoid, and I’d say camping is the best way to do it. There are snakes and spiders everywhere in this country - you’ll be fine 😉
