Easy Red 2 is (to me) a combination of a few games, like Enlisted, Men of War and Ravenfield. It combines what makes those games great to create this crazy good Indie FPS/TPS with tons of WW2 fronts, a mission/map editor as well as constant updates.

I bought the game on sale thinking it was gonna be mediocre and figured I’d play like 2-3 hours then be done with it. Boy was I wrong, this game is truly a hidden gem. It’s like a speakeasy in the sense where from the outside being the screenshots and trailers from the store it looks plain and ok but once you get it and get into the game it has way more to offer than it seems from outside. I highly recommend the game.

That's a really great description. Easy Red 2 gives me the exact same feeling I had when I played Battlefield 1942 for the first time.

As a long time fan of the channel and someone who's worked and is working closely on ER2 with the solo dev himself, I want to say thanks for covering the game! Marco, the dev of ER2, really works hard on the game and puts so much effort towards it and it's nice to see the game get the appreciation it deserves. It may not be the prettiest looking game or have the best AI, but it's a unique and fun experience that I'm honored to have worked on such a fun title :) Can't wait to get the rest of the animation overhaul done for the game so that we can work on further polishing this fun experience! Easy Red 2!!!!!!!! Glad to see some coverage on this game. It's absolutely a hidden gem and only gets better. Marco is an awesome developer. He recently finished reworking on the 1st person animations and is now focusing on third person animations. Modding support is planned for the future so folks will be able to mod in their own sides. Even so, the map editor is very robust and several unique maps have already been made. My favorite is probably Bastards of Bastogne. Very very well done map!

@@theShermanator I hope you'll do another video soon! The developer continues to add updates and currently the focus is on a France DLC including adding France as a faction. The campaign will feature the Invasion of France and the Battle of the Bulge. So like France at 2 different periods.

Wow I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves this game. Got it on Switch last week for about $5 and haven't put it down since. This is EXACTLY what I wanted from an FPS.

My story with this game is that at launch I refunded it because it looked just boring. Two months back I gave this game second chance and I was prepared to lose my money but man I was wrong. This game got just so much better and now I play it almost daily.

If your squad gets wiped out and you move towards another one, you'll get absorbed into that squad. Great video on an awesome game. Just played a little session (Kos) before hitting the sack and man what a tight little 45 minute battle with tons of epic moments. Got the heart rate racing.

The gamer has a lot of potential. The couple of issues I have that are hard to get around are really bad-looking foliage, and some levels have a lot of it. The AI has a huge advantage because they can see through it, and you cant. If the models/alpha maps were better, then it wouldn't be as big of a deal. The other issue is the AI pathing, they tend to stick to certain paths, are constantly moving forward, never stopping, never taking cover, and are usually clustered. If they solve these issues, this game would be amazing.

It depends on the foilage. The AI can't see through some bushes and they can't see through smoke grenades either.

I recommend checking out Easy Red II again, new Ardennes DLC, animations, cosmetics, weapons, vehicles and a new faction, the French

literally the most underrated game in the ww2 genre, A True love letter to our childhood classics, a simply exquisite dish. 20/10 reminds me of the days of 1942, cod 1-3, with the fresh and realistic atmosphere comparable to Enlisted, Hell Let loose, but better and thats not a lie. i look at hell let loose now and it looks dead compared to these battlefeilds

This game is amazing. As a former patreon supporter its nice to see the dev put all the patreon members names down on ingame dogtags that you can collect. Besides that this game continues to grow and the game gets better and better with each update added. I cant wait for the next DLC that releases with Easy Red 2!!!!

I started playing it today. For what it is, a pretty cheap indie game made by a one man dev team, it's pretty damn good! I love the intensity of the combat in the game, and the high stakes in the fact that you can't just keep respawning eternally, you have to select a soldier who still alive, so each death truly counts. And this is a game that is still in development so who knows where it will go from here?

The looting is very similar to fallout but it's done in real time, which makes it more intense.

So, the difficulty I think is based on supression, damage of each weapon and explosions and how accurate the ai is.

@@theShermanator With a new update, stanima is added as well with Realistic Difficulity. So, using your breath, jumping and sprinting uses up Stanima.

doesnt look bad at ll and the system requirements, well give the chaaance for anyone to play. Unlike other gaames that requires or demands higher specs and some are poorly optimized.... It's already out on switch. The switch version is usually a patch behind the PC version because of Nintendo's longer approval process. I'm not sure about an eta on PS and Xbox though.

So in love that I bought it even on the switch cause there are no game like this on that console, so I have pc version plus Normandy, and switch version plus Normandy and Stalingrad. ( on switch is not perfect, I mean, graphic is ok, there are a lot of settings such performance one and fov, but on Stalingrad fps drop depend on what map you play, sadly the first map of that dlc is not optimized at all lol)

There's not a lot of concurrent players online according to Steamcharts I think, coop/pvp should work tho afaik

There are always people playing and it's a lot of fun, but it's more PvE than PvP, so expect coop against bots rather than a team-based tactical shooter like Hell Let Loose. You can have up to ten people with their own squad of bots each on each team, but you're more likely to see lobbies with 4 or 5 people on the same side vs. an all bot enemy team.

Can someone explain to me why a game called Easy Red, that features the 1st ID, makes an Omaha map that is ANOTHER recreation of Dog Green sector?? Why does literally every videogame do this? It's always just Dog green, 0 accurate representations of other sectors have ever been done! It's just so baffling to me, especially in this game...
