Funfact: Striker Eureka was supposed to be the main Jaeger not Gypsy but directors thought Striker looked too edgy to look like a main character so they chose Gypsy. Edit: Damn didn't expected this to blow up so much

I think it's because strikers appearance seem to be too cold for being, you know almost the latest model, the strongest yet the fastest and also the most upgraded jaeger. I'm glad gipsy is our main character and striker is our beloved jaeger

For me it's the sound that makes it heavier despite it's fast movement. You can hear the gears and machines absolutely work to the limit to move such a giant hunk of steel.

Its less so the speed, but more of the motions of Striker being... refined, in a way. Unlike Cherno Alpha's "mechanical muscle" moving like a freight train, Striker's movements are more fluid and honed in, like a Swiss watch.

They did a great job blending CGI and practical effects. For example, the shot of a jager fist going through an office was 90% practical, half scale, I think. And they chose realistic camera angles, even flying cameras could've been in a news helicopter or something

Part of it was due to Stacker Pentecost co-piloting Stryker, and Chuck being a natural talent being able to keep with Stacker makes Stryker really shine performance wise.
