It kind of is. What he is actually doing is called “the melee quick trade.” Or just “a quick trade”. People have been using this tactic pretty much since the game began even back in beta. Of course back in beta people weren’t really thinking to deeply into the concept or reasoning of the trade as much as they were doing it for poke. Using it completely just to manipulate the wave didn’t become a known method or outcome until like mid season one// pre season 2. Im honestly surprised more people didn’t know this// knowingly use this.

Then you have to fight against champs like riven and renekton where they have stuns and dashes with the same if not longer range. Also, the 2 mentioned above can also forcefully break a freeze or slow push by force without losing too much health

The fastest way to win lane is to 1. Never leash so you can get lane prio and hit lvl two first 2. When you are one minion away from hitting 2 don’t last hit the minion that’s about to die just start walking at the enemy that should still need 3 minions for 2, immediately go for a hard trade or all in when you get 2 and they’ll be too low to contest you after that, they either have to take a bad recall / waste tp early in which case you can go for a hard exit trade and shove when they come back and now lane is won, or they greed and stay to soak xp and last hit what they can in which case you stack a wave and set up a dive with jg. Playing like this wins me lane in 76% of my emerald games, I climbed from g4 to e2 this season and this is the trick that has been the biggest help to winning lane by far However your jg will never be comfortable with early dives if you are below high plat for the most part, they don’t understand the importance of making them miss all that xp even if you trade a kill

@@clubjogosline when you aren’t in shitlow your jg won’t be a butthurt baby 95% of the time about that, and even if they are if you play for the lvl 2 correctly you should win lane without jg help pretty easy you just might not get kills

@@clubjogosline im close to GM and yes i NEVER leash my jungler. if anybody complains tell em to show you ONE lck player that leashes, you wont find one. the 5sec speed advantage ur jg gets is not worth having no chance in getting prio (unless u play scaling archetypes and want to be pushed in anyways)

@@TieflingInAJarthat’s not true. It’s absolutely an aa enhancer. You click it, nothing happens till you aa, when you aa it does the stuff. If you ever want to see if something is an aa enhancer or it’s own separate ability, you can currently test it by going on pbe and seeing if it stacks the pbe hullbreaker because that only works with basic as and not anything that would usually trigger “on attack” effects. Also you can just see if you can auto turrets with it. There’s a couple exceptions, but those will tell you in the ability that they can hit turrets which means if it tells you then it’s not an aa ability. Or you can just read the ability, if it says “your next attack ____” it’s an aa enhancer. Those are in order of easiest to hardest ways to check (/s)

Well yes, but in this particular instance Nasus can’t do that until he hits his lvl 6 sheen powerspike which he needs to farm for. And after that an all-in with ghost is allways more efficient than trying to trade.

Oow, that's why Urgot gets prio lvl 1 so often, even tho he's almost melee he still have better attack range then actual melees. And unlike actual range champions he is still close enough to take mins agro. Thanks, skillcap!

Or, for kled vs a champ like Garen, you can do some significant damage early if you land your q, and if you get dismounted you can poke with q for courage.

Not every empowering AA ability gives the same range and not every melee character has the same range as well. But this in fact is very useful. For example, a really good trick for camille players is: When ur facing a burst fighter (eg: riven) you'll likely take Bone plating, however, to make sure you make good use of your shield and bone plating, when u'r going to hit riven on early trades, start it with ur empowered Q, this will make you proc your shield BEFORE taking dmg, this way u can still have bone plating for a extend trade or for a trade after that. (note that bone plating will only proc when u lost life, if riven hits u with the shield, bone plating will not proc)

Yo as a nasus main, don't do trades until you have 100 stacks. Chances are if you're laning against bruisers you lose that fight.

Early game stacks don't mean much of anything, you need your haste up before it becomes a big deal. Its so you can play super safe early into rough matchups and not just lose- its the same with veigar. Stacking isn't a huge deal early.

Walk up as Nasus, get Yorick E, then walk back with half hp, because you wanted your poke. Genius! And it's not just Yorick. Or he can let you push, then he freezes, and the moment you want to break it he runs you down or get ganked. Accept that you are a scaling champ and farm safer under tower

imo its better to get the aa yhen empowered to cancel animation. the most optimal way to trade is when they are about to last hit something. it forces them to choose between trading or getting gold

Dont do this if the enemy has ghost and can run you down. You odnt want your wave to push if you cant make it crash becasue the enemy is stronger than you.

If u use enhance auto, that would let your wave pushed in more to them, although they are low on go or whatever, your wave is going to crash into their tower faster, so would let that be a disadvantage if the enemy jgler is pathing to you?

some AA resets don't give 50 range tho Thoughts and prayers to Nautilus, Olaf, Garen, and Udyr's spells that are not his Q.

@@NinoChapter q does give range but not his other spells that also enhance aa (exept his w) His e gives u more « range » like garen q in the way that you lunge at your target from afar, but you then end up melee at normal aa range for both. For udyr np, only works if stun, for garen, the other dude can aa u back. But you’re right, udyr has no aa resets. Only aa enpowerement
