Resistance was the term first used to describe the French freedom fighters resisting the Natzi occupation. The aim is to divide and rule. By the way the narrator has a funny accent. 😂

The BBC building public opinion cleverly. Nevertheless, some 80% of ordinary Iranians hate this political game. They want regime change. They want peace, life, work and relations with outside world including Israel and America. .

You forgot the part where they want back the Shah, SAVAK, and BP. As for peace, the US never does this with nations viewed as traditional enemies. They might momentarily share the stage in some celebrated new peaceful relationship or something, but the knives in the back inevitably follow shortly.

There are herds of Iranians in exile in the UK. They sound like the Iranians you describe-sick to death of the Islamic dictatorship (not Islam), wanting peace with other countries and relationships with them. Regime change? None want a violent upheaval, nor foreign intervention. However, peaceful change would be very welcome.

Here's hoping Iran gets its act together. Egypt, Jordan were highly militant and anti-Israel till few decades back. So was Saudi but now Saudi is turning a corner....such a great ancient civilization like Persia SURELY can and MUST realise that rabid war-mongering in name of Islam is plain stupid. @@contact594 This Low Countries GDP comparison, again? The US has a GDP 40x that of Belgium, and 400x that of Afghanistan. Plus, the US had all of NATO on its side in Afghanistan, so the NATO side must have had more like 1000x the GDP of the entire country, all factiins included. So they must have won decisively and achieved their objectives, I assume.
