This is one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen. I didn’t think I’d like it when I started it and then I just couldn’t stop laughing. You genuinely get hard laughs in each episode

Toast of London got criminally overlooked when it first came out, as did Garth Marenghi's Dark Place. Both have Matt Berry, Garth Marenghi also has Richard Ayoade with other brits with smaller roles.

Darkplace is my all-time 1 series favourite, however you can't do clips - you need to get the whole thing in for the context.

Mate, when this first came out I watched the whole series but it really didn't click with me. And so I just wasn't going to bother with the second series. Then one day a colleague came into work and asked if I'd watched s02e01 when it premiered the night before. I told him I hadn't, and so we found it online and watched it during lunch. Funniest f*cking thing I'd ever seen. Then I went back and watched the first series again and it had all just *clicked*. Was in stitches the whole way through. I work in IT and maybe was just bitchin' about the stereotyping the first time around 😂 I've seen the theatre episode referenced on here a few times. That's s02e01. You're gonna love it when you get around to it

The guy in the restaurant playing guitar and singing is the writer of the IT Crowd, Graham Linehan. He also wrote Father Ted with Arthur Mathews.

Glad u enjoyed IT crowd so funny perfect gel of 3 characters getting into various scrapes up there with Father Ted, (also written by Graham Linehan) you must watch Father Ted episode 6 season 3 'Kicking bishop brennan up the arse' seen it 20+ times and it still makes me laugh

As for me, The IT Crowd is essential British comedy. It's right up there with Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, Father Ted, and Red Dwarf as shows that MUST BE SEEN!

Hey man! You missed something alot of people do. The scene where roy is wearing glasses, everytime the camera changes he has a different pair on! This show is layered. You miss stuff and see ut a few rewatches later

I think that often the series dont actually get better its just you as the viewer become more familiar with the characters and are already smiling when it starts. Saying that often the writers/directors/producers adjust characters to make them better in further series.

This was one of the funniest series on tv. Not sure if it’ll be on, but another one I enjoyed (not quite the same comedy) was hyperdrive with nick Frost. Seriously underrated bbc comedy series.

There's stuff cut from that episode, it has a 25 minute run time, I noticed a few things that were missing while watching it, when Jen comes into work in the morning she's in a fit of laughter because the receptionist has told her about the 'shit' on Roy's head, that was cut.

You should check out Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace , it’s a hidden gem of british comedy which features Richard Ayoade (moss) & Matt Berry etc 👍

I loved the entire series. Funny that our "shithead" would go on to play an assassin in a recent series. Also love Matt Berry, who you will see more of down the line, watching the series. He is currently in the hilarious What We Do In The Shadows series. I can really relate to a lot of the IT Crowd, as that is my profession, though I like to think I am a little less inept in dealing with the opposite sex.
