This is usually cited as his most hilarious line, but I think there's a similar one even better. It was from one of the Christmas shows at the department shore. Jack, torturing the poor salesman as usual, is told that he has one penny change, but they are out of change in this department. The salesman warns Jack that it would take at least half an hour for him to go get the change. Jack calmly says "That's alright", and pauses for a second to ask yourself whether by "that's alright" he means he'll forego waiting all that time for the penny. After he's let you think about it long enough, he finishes the thought with: "I'll wait". I recall I was sitting in a car when I first heard this, and I broke down in hysterics.

The Colemans as western characters is a hoot.

This is cited as the longest laugh in radio and it barely registers. It makes me wonder if this is a repeat performance, maybe for the west coast or something? When you listen to interviews by the cast they say things like, "the audience laughed so much and so long we couldn't continue". My favorite line of the series is actually used as a gag more than once, but one time the delivery was just so great. The cast is at the lunch counter across from the studio, and Dennis orders a "peanut brittle sandwich". Jack says "Oh that's supposed to be peanut butter, I'm sure" and Dennis yells "I KNOW MY RIGHTS!"
