Have you ever heard of Blue Zones? These are areas in the world where a large number of centenarians live - that’s people who are over one hundred years old. Many people have studied these areas to try and discover the secret to longevity, and the thing they’ve found is Ikigai: The Japanese secret to a happy life.

Is it a matter of doing something you enjoy or doing something you consider worthwhile. There is a substantial difference between those two. Enjoyment brings momentary pleasure and happiness. Doing something worthwhile promotes a sense of your own importance in the world and a sense that you are benefiting others as well as yourself. Big difference.

Hands down "aperture" is the most informative, accurate, meaningfull channel I've ever came across & experienced on KZfaq. Topics that I can relate to, that share legit information. Nothing exaggerated, no gimmicks, no bait...because they give a shit! Best content, everyone involved with the channel should proud of what they contribute to the masses. Your videos make my time spent alive, much better in so many ways! Thank you to all.

Eudaimonia is an ancient Greek term that means happiness, flourishing, or wellbeing. Highest goal for it's own sake. Ikigai is the intersection of what you love, what the world needs, what you can be paid for, and what you're good at. Maybe happiness in the moment.

I have lived in the US, Japan and China. I’m fluent in all 3 languages. When visiting Japan, Americans by far are most curious about temples and shrines, or things like Zen or Samurai. In Japanese daily life these are not necessities. They do visit temples as a tradition and a habit but nothing mysterious or fantasy. Japanese have high life expectancy due to some natural, social, economical and scientific reasons. It’s geographically gifted to be a large island in the best latitudes, mountains and seas with four seasons, good temperatures and clean air overall. They eat a lot of fish, rice and vegetables which are the healthiest of foods. Wining and sloping roads get the average person exercised, bicycles are popular in Japan. Socially, Japanese or Asians in general have tight family connections. Old people usually get taken cared of by family as well as the government. Economically Japan no so long ago was the richest per capita country, their infrastructures and cities are well built; residential districts and public facilities well designed. A typical new house in Japan comes with Panasonic kitchens and Toto bathrooms, convenient high tech living. Japan along with Germany and the US have been the more advanced countries in medicine (perhaps something to do with WW2). Japanese bookstores have loads of books under the health category. They are dedicated to their maintaining personal health. Japanese mothers dust and clean their home to perfection, maybe they take a similar stance to guard the health of family members. BTW, strongly recommend travellers to visit China. For 4 years as a frequent KZfaq patron I have not come across a single foreigner vlogger in China who doesn’t praise China. Lately there are dozens of western tourists posting videos on KZfaq and other platforms. You may find them by searching “Shanghai travel” because that’s the most popular city. Then you can expand to see many from there. Late May to mid June is a good time to visit Beijing and Shanghai before the hot summer. Also you can go to Tibet and Xinjiang using the high speed trains. If you can manage you can get an international driver’s license and rent an EV. Avoid any Chinese national holidays of May and October.

I've been following your thought-provoking content on philosophical ideas for quite some time now and have found your insights truly inspiring. Your ability to delve into complex topics with clarity and depth is truly commendable. I wanted to reach out to you to suggest a topic that I believe would be of great interest to your audience - Luminialism. It's a philosophical concept that explores the nature of enlightenment, reason, and skepticism, offering a fresh perspective on these timeless questions. I believe your unique approach to discussing philosophical ideas would lend itself well to exploring Luminialism in one of your videos. Your ability to break down complex concepts and make them accessible to a wide audience would undoubtedly spark meaningful discussions and encourage viewers to think critically about the world around them. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the topic and whether you'd be interested in exploring it further in one of your upcoming videos. Keep up the fantastic work, and I look forward to seeing more thought-provoking content from you in the future! Best regards, Amartheil Raeliu

Jesus loves you ❤️Please turn to him and repent and receive Salvation before it's too late. The end times written about in the Bible are already happening in the world. Jesus is the son of God and he died for our sins on the cross and God raised him from the dead on the third day. Jesus is waiting for you with open arms but time is running out. Please repent and turn to him before it is too late. Accept Jesus into your heart and invite him to be Lord and saviour of your life and confess and believe that Jesus is Lord, that he died for your sins on the cross and that God raised him from the dead. While watching this video and contemplating I think finding purpose in life and seeing a purpose in doing so is directly related to your religous and philosophical beliefs. As a nihilist I find it very hard to find any meaning in life and often just sattle with things I like in the moment, such as gaming, going to the gym, or watching interesting videos on KZfaq such as this one. But true meaning? No, I haven't found it and I think this is because I simply don't belief the right religion. In order to do so I would need proof, and pursuing that means I'll be looking for proof where none can be found.

The true value of any given soul's work isn't accurately measured by the outside world. You either viscerally, confidently assert that your endeavors are exemplary, or else, you accept how others decide to categorize you as meaningless or of no regard. The choice is yours, but it's probably a great idea to think about how you'll feel regarding your work once you're about to... cross over. Must give us pause, yes? 💪😎✌️ 🐲✨🐲✨🐲✨ "Before I start, I must see my end. Destination known, my mind's journey now begins. Upon my chariot, heart and soul's fate revealed. In time, all points converge, hope's strength resteeled. Marketing either prevents people from achieving "worldly success", or it promotes it. But in neither case is it an accurate measurement of value. I knew at least six individuals who were IMMENSELY talented. All of them were poor, ignored, mocked, cajoled, and each died young. Some of them were better than so-called "professionals" in their fields... but it didn't matter (obviously).

I am sorry to be negative, but I strongly feel as though the Better Help advertisement totally contradicted the depth and meaning of this video... Seriously, when you think about it, WHY do we need to PAY SOMEONE TO LISTEN TO OUR INNERMOST SECRETS AND PROBLEMS- SHOULDN'T WE HAVE, LIKE, FRIENDS OR SOMETHING TO DO THAT??? WHY THE FUCK SHOULD I FOOL MYSELF INTO BELIEVING SOME RANDOM STRANGER WHO IS ONLY LISTENING TO ME BECAUSE IT IS THEIR PROFESSION AND I AM PAYING THEM BY THE HOUR; LIKE, EVERYTHING THEY SAY ISN'T BECAUSE THEY GENUINELY CARE ABOUT US, IF WE STOPPED SCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS, IT'S NOT LIKE THEY'D BE SAD OR HEARTBROKEN OR EVEN HAVING THE SLIGHTEST THOUGHT ABOUT US AND OUR WELL-BEING MONTHS OR YEARS LATER, WHEN THEY HAVEN'T SEEN OR HEARD FROM US IN ALL THAT TIME... I am thinking now that I genuinely don't want anybody who is in bad shape mentally and needing help to come across this comment... I know that most humans cannot be as brutally honest with themselves as I am, this is a curse that I cannot overlook, escape, or avoid... I wouldn't wish this level of goddamned awareness upon anyone, not even if I hated them, although I've never hated anybody, not even my emotionally and mentally abusive first stepfather, who was never ever kind to me, even though I was just a small child, then a teenager...

Happiness is overrated and over marketed. As if the normal human experience is to be beaming from ear to ear all day every day. That is simply not practical. The pursuit of happiness can be an incredibly selfish goal to set oneself as well. Rather, one should not aim for happiness but instead to first and foremost always do what is right. That is the truer philosophy to live by.
