I love your new real! You are so right about good older gear. I am still fishing with 3 Shimano Calcutta's from the 1980's and 1990' They still work awesome, and are my favorite reals. 50,100,200 in sizes. I love the 50 such a cool little round real...jimi

Oh yeah. Especially Shimano and Daiwa reels. They're very durable not easily broken like Toyota car. I have many over 10 years old reels still working perfectly.

Hello Sensei! You can’t go wrong with the legendary One Up Shad. Especially as the Japanese price ✌🏽 Best of luck to you! I’m interested in catching sargo (or sheepshead) using a lure. Catching them with cutbait is probably more efficient but I’m turning into a Japanese angler by watching your videos 😂. The powercrab you chose looks like a great pick! I’ve read articles of people in France catching them with ayu color jerkbaits (shallow sinking). What other lure would you advice that is available in the US?

Hi Waki, Thank you for all these videos. I'm somewhat new to fishing, but I love it. I am trying alot of your casting technique practice on the field as well. I have a question though. I'm signed up for a bluefin trip in September, and many people recommend Nature Boys Jigs. The japanese I learned in college isn't really helping me much. My gf is leaving for Japan next week (she loves the ice skater Yuzu Hanyu) and I was hoping I could send her to pick up some jigs for me. Do you have any recommendations?

I used to do deepwater jigging when I was young. It was a long long time ago. So, I can't give you any good advice but I know many anglers think highly of Nature Boys products. Good luck.

It seems marukyu scented worms and crabs are quite soft compared to berkeley gulp I had many small fish tear them off the hook when berkely gulp survives even multiple fish

I have a friend in Gifu,Japan. She doesn't fish much. The bummer thing is the cherry blossoms you dont get cherries for them trees.

That's true, but the beauty of the cherry blossoms themselves can be just as rewarding as having cherries from the tree. That's what my friend ChatGPT says.
