I am so glad you mentioned the young demographics at European (and Asian, also) audio shows! Hardly anyone mentions this fact, but what we constantly hear and read in the US audio press is the audio market is fading because the market is aging. But it is not hard to see when you watch a video such as this.

I really enjoyed hearing about your European visit. I find it very interesting. I really like the ECM finds. I am living in Denmark and there is a shop in Copenhagen with an ECM LP section. I like when record shops have dedicated ECM sections.

Lovely video Ken. Submitting this comment from Vienna, which is very similar to Munich. Maybe we will all emigrate after November.

That Harry Pepl record is an eccentric gem from deep in the ECM catalog. Nice find, Ken! Love the video and the whirlwind impressions of the trip. Sounds like a blast.

Never at the show but lived in Germany for years. There are things a lot of Americans could learn.

Like how to keep a subway, clean for starters

@@kenmicallefjazzvinylaudiop6455 if you were to get up and go out about 5 am there would be orange jacketed people cleaning up everywhere. That is the welfare recipients. That’s how it was done in the eighties.

Ken, you teach me so much. Here’s one for you - New York is not the oldest subway in the world. London is.

Nice vid, yes, those German ECM pressings are very nice, I have 75 or so. The Warners are pretty good, avoid the US Plolydor, awful. Looking forward to the Goldnote vid as their phono stage (the less expensive one) is on my short list for my first stand alone unit. Keep the faith.

The Gold Note video is up, prior to this one, thanks
