Life was just a simpler place and time when this show was active. Too bad this era couldn't be frozen in time. To me, it still hasn't kicked in that most of the cast members are no longer with us, but at least they all left giant footprints.🌹

What’s so weird Sherman Hensley was the complete opposite off stage. He stared in a reality show where the cast wasn’t as wild as it is today, you barely ever knew he was in the cast, he was quiet as a church mouse, totally different from George Jefferson, that’s why he was so good at his craft!!

Roxy Roker was a beautiful soul. It's sad that she held on to 14 years of marriage to a man who was horrible. He had 2 daughters prior to this marriage and did nothing for them and had nothing to do with them. Her family didn't like her husband at all. He was very verbally abusive to Lenny. He was very jealous of Roxy. She became famous and made more money than him by this time. He quit his job, took her money and made failed business ventures. Roxy was so humble to the point where she drove a buick and this man purchased a roll royce with her money. Roxy's husband had a mistress. He would take Roxy's money and spend it on himself and the mistress. She woulld follow him to this woman's home and show up asking him to come home. He would get pissed and tell her to leave. All she wanted was to be loved and have a 2 parent home for Lenny. Rip to a classy queen who deserved more than what she gave that sorry husband. ❤

Thank you for sharing the memory lane of the oldies. The amazing sitcoms unlimited sitcom in the old days help keep families together and grounded. There were more people of all race fighting against racism. No ongoing drive bys in the neighborhood would be allowed. Today's racist sneaky, deceiving politicians will used age discrimination while hiding vindictive schemes to divide, deprived certain race of blood sweat American their civil rights of all human rights Reparations and dignity entitlement. There are still digused decieving criminals who will use discrimination to powder their face and family with tainted white chalk for special privilege while denying not being racist? Evil old days of the Roman, empire, Hitler's genocide among racist uncivilized slavery towards the old and new generation. The ancient and modern days collided with the uncivilized behavior. The journey for equal respect have not advance throughout the world. Countries continue to be invaded with fraudulent challenges.🙏

The guy who played "RALPH" the door man was married to Dr. Skyne Uku, who was Chairman of the Black Studies Dept and later reduced to associate professor while I was completing both my Bachelor and Master degrees between September 1974 - 77 at CSULB (Long Beach State) after transferring more than 70 semester units from both San Bernardino Valley College and Long Beach City College as an advanced Junior at the university. While I was attending there I was told that Dr. Uku seemed to favor white people over her own Black race, even though she was the most DARKEST BLACK SKIN AFRICAN that I have ever seen in real life, and even more darker black skin than a South Sudanese. I was informed that if she would be talking to a Black student while a white person approached her, she would immediately stop her conversation with the Black student and start talking with the white one as if they were more important, and if she was talking with a white student, and a Black student approached her she would IGNORE the Black student as if they were LESS important. She talked VERY FAST with a huge AFRICAN ACCENT while speaking English which made it very difficult to understand her, and she always acted as if she was angry about something when a Black student asked her a question.. I remember taking one STUPID class with her during my first semester as a graduate student for my masters degree after having completed my Black Studies undergraduate degree, and I IMMEDIATELY "WITHDREW" from that class because she had a old white Lesbian professor name Dr. Audry Fuss from the Sociology Dept as a Co-Instructor to teach the class called "Racism & Sexism", and they were arguing with each other which made absolutely no sense at all, and I lost all interest in that class which coud have been a good class if it had the right instructors.. I did read a couple months ago that Dr. Uku remains employed as a Professor Emeritus at CSULB, and while studying some of the STUDENT COMMENTS, they mostly stated that she talks really fast, and that her strong African "Ibo" English accent when speaking is difficult to understand her, but that she was a good professor. I personally thought that she was a horrible professor, and the school probably appointed her to be Chairperson of the Black Studies Dept because they wanted the department to look really bad, before she was eventually removed, and they chose other professors to chair the Black Studies dept, including Dr. Maulana Karenga, the founder of "KWANZA" which is a Black celebration during the Christmas holiday season.. Dr. Uku's husband was obviously much older than her before he passed away..

They said how everyone passed besides George, Respect is how I see it, nice video. George mom probably didn't have any pics when she was younger either no camera lost pics it could be several reason.

Although all souces indicate that Hemsely served in the Air Force. I thought he served in the Army Air Corps because of his age and the timeline of the Air Force. I guess Sherman wasn’t as old as I thought he was.
