The Jinan After 6.3 Nerfs - How does the ship perform?

Күн бұрынI am still testing all the changes from 6.3 and today I wanted to touch a little on the Jinan. Harbin and Jinan got hit the hardest, but Harbin is definitely the one that got hurt the most, Jinan though.... Still great

To go after Jinan with cv is something I do only if I have to, but a Jinan with 60% health, in a Midway, and if I send fighters, torpedobombers and divebombers close together so that the AA have to many targets I may sink it. All my planes will get destroyed ofc 😂 But against a good Jinan player, it can be worth it for the team, so I guess for a cv player going after Jinan or some of the other good AA ships will always be a tactical desition, because if u can help ur team sinking other ships, eventually we will get the Jinan Good video btw

You have a good point, taking out a powerful cruiser even if they have good AA is a powerful tactical decision, but if they come for me I will make their life as hard as possible hehe :D

Any cv of tier 8 or above has way more planes than it takes to sink Jinan. So you will definitely not run out of planes. Taking out Jinan at the cost of at most 30% of your planes and 3/4 rounds of attention is a no brainer. Introducing cv is a design failure for a military shooting game.

I was halfway through the grind of Harbin and it’s harder now, but I can still manage. Can’t wait until I get to Jinan. Hope I can catch a legendary commander one of these days.😂 thank you again

Trust me mate, Sejong is a lot more playable than Harbin and Jinan is really fun so it's all worth it

Basically a glass canon ship get balanced. After the neft, i still kinda scared when dealing with these thing at t10 with my Republic Even though they are pretty to get blow up, but their concealment is dd's like so its nearly impossible to spot them without CV help. So i demand WG give Republic a litte buff with the reload to 19.5s and things should be fine.

Good ship. However, too many torps. Reload should be longer or distance shorter. Players only do spam of torpedos and get high damage. Especially in capturing the center zone. Thanks for video again.

They should have just given it a longer torp reload and not touch the other aspects tbh. You are right, it does spam too much and that can be quite annoying even I will admit

As for the AA nerf, here's my observation. As u know, I like Jinan a lot. Almost at 1k battles! I do not have the legendary commander and (as usually, with all strong AA ships) I went full AA spec (consumables, equipment, commander skills - everything geared towards AA). Pre-nerf: 50+ planes, regardless of the CV. Post-nerf: 30+ planes. So. U might not notice a huge difference with a more traditional setup. The real difference though is actually an approx 40% nerf to Jinan's AA capability.

Okay when you look at it like that it definitely is a huge nerf, but don't you still find it pretty easy to manage a CV strike? It's slim and moves well, at least it's not a huge ship so dodging comes more natural to the Jinan, ofc dive bombers is just RNG....

@@BobLyn that is also true. However, pre-nerf you did not have to worry about rng. No bombers even reached the point of payload drop.

I am in AIR (Corsairs) I have been there all of my wows career. If you are looking for a good fleet, we have both RAID A1R and the main fleet AIR. You can join A1R and work your way up to the main fleet, that's what I did :D

Iam playing Harbin, and have replaced concealments with speed instead. Before I really liked it because it could stealthtorp.. now... Nahh... So I go with speed instead so I can get in out of trouble and faster take flanking position.

Speed mod is a very underrated equipment and I also tend to run it on ships that get focused a lot. The good thing about speed is you can also easily reposition !

the nerfs, it seems, made them easy prey for french light cruisers and destroyers.

Yeah like we saw on stream, Jinan as worse detection than Incomp lol. They should have just tuned down the torp reload and left everything else as it was IMO
