The wheelchair idea is a solid one imo. The leg twitching could also be an indicator of muscle strain due to it not being used often due to being paralyzed. The jockey could of been in a mental hospital before the infection set in as well. It would explain the mental state, the wheelchair theory as well. The wheelchair theory could also be explained by severe spinal issues before his infection.

Something you could use to get your shots of the thing you're studying could be source film maker so you could get pictures without having to actually get in a game with the added benefit of being able to pose the model. You could probably even use garrys mod as well but that costs money but is way more user friendly and fun.

I think that the reason for the jockey head to be all the way on the front, is because that way he can bite the neck or something along this lines, and a lot of animals on our fauna have this kind of "mechanism", i don't know man, it's just makes sense to me.

I always felt the infected in L4D looked good, nice designs and felt threatening. Now I know that "feeling" when looking at them does have a reason behind it. It seems like the developers really thought about how to design them, if you look how many real reasons there are for the behaviour and such. I mean, maybe my subconcious just tells me "it makes sense" where for some other movie or game monsters it sometimes goes "Mh, something doesn't add up, it feels not right looking at it"

I was always under the impression that the jockey was the direct result of hard drugs. Specifically, the slouched, malnourished, and arm scratching stereotype. I hadn't considered the paraplegic theory though. That's a good one.

person could've been on a prescription anti depressant (ssri, tca, maoi) and the sudden discontinuation after the outbreak broke down distribution lines could contribute to their neurologically inflamed state potentiated by the outbreak. suddenly stopping ssris can lead to mania from influx of dopamine, and suddenly stopping maois causes similar side effects to the jockeys strange movements, things like muscle twitches, brain zaps, edema (atrophied legs)

@@RoanokeGaming Thought of a cool idea for a vs video. what do you think about the green flu vs the harran virus? take a disease that either started and we attempted to fight it creating one or the other. or they both started simultaneously in different parts of the world/country. I'd be curious to see which one is more virulent or dangerous given the differing specials and common infected behaviors.

My theory is the jockey was a crackhead before he was infected and the green flu bonded with the chemicals in the drugs he was taking which explains the constant laughing and how fast he his for his size

I always thought that the jockey might have been a literal jockey. The wounded mouth may been associated with an ingrained habit: Eating disorders are a huge problem among jockeys, where every gram is an enemy. He might have tried to practice bolemia early into infection and hurt himself by accident or the throat and such being in bad shape may have bothered him. He started picking and it got worse and worse. While jockey's are among the most well-trained people you will ever come across, the infection may have simply done a number on the jockey. And his legs are clearly strong, as he uses them to hold on. His bent-over, while looking forward gait is also a twisted reference to real-life jockeys, as this is how they ride their horses. Edit: Mind you, I think your theory is far better.

I thought the Jockey was a hurtle jumper or related with track and field at first because of the blue striped sport shorts and tank top with constant jumping but I could be wrong because he looks like a balding middle aged man.

The thing is even with a plantigrade structure our heels are still not designed to take an real impact even at relatively low velocities. As I've said before try jumping even half an inch and landing on them... or don't if you wanna avoid having a painful shockwave run all the way from your heel to your the top of your spine.

My theory is that the jockey is Beavis when he got older and became infected at some point. When Beavis eats too much sugar, he becomes hyper, and behaves erratically, believing himself to be the great Cornholio. But when he does this, he also pulls his shirt up and over his head as a hood, which is similar to how the jockeys shirt is pulled up so high. Also the jockey has a really bad case of scoliosis, which you'd expect from someone like Beavis who spent their youth slouching on a couch with awful posture
