The whole purpose of the "The Heart" series is to get out what he's feeling at THAT time. He expresses his thoughts and feelings. To compare the heart's against each other doesn't make sense. Can't judge growth and feelings from one time period to the other. That's all this is. How he feels about everything he's observed.

well said why are you comparing the hearts. The sole purpose of all the heart series was to describe his views of the world based on all that he has experienced especially after 5 years. He even begins the song with: everyone one has a perspective and his may differ from yours.

Kendrick definitely only rapped from the perspective of Nipsey, as well as his own. Not the perspective of the other celebrities. He inserted the other faces into key moments that could coincide with a lyric or two, but he never truly raps from anyone's perspective but Nip's. The others were just a reinforcement of the trappings and ills of said Culture from prominent Black celebrities who've seen extreme highs as well as lows.

After this take on Kendrick's Heart Part V.. I'm staying the hell off social media & avoiding any tweets or posts about this album. Because if you can trash THAT song/ video , then there's no hope for the general public. Let's break it down a bit from a wider lense.. The last 5 years have been nothing but bullshit distractions.. Nobody really saying much of anything in the music. Kendrick comes back and he's attacking the crippling cycle of the culture that is hurting people .. Whether it's murder/ prison or people numbing their pain with substance abuse just to continue the cycle. Hurt people hurting people. He said "fuck that" I have to call out the bullshit for US to move forward and away from this cycle. Then ultimately the last verse which if y'all didn't peep. Kendrick slid himself in between Kobe and Nipsey ... He mentioned being taught in schools.. Kendrick's material is the only one popping up in college classes. Why he would put himself in the same boat with Kobe & Nip? You can draw your own conclusion if you paid attention to his material ; dating back since that song Hiii Power over a decade ago. This dude is a true artist that has the intent to transfer art into day to day living through self reflection. That's his whole mission. If any mf'a wanna stay distracted with bullshit rap cappers just to make it sound good & glorify all types of bullshit.. You go right ahead and do that. And the harsh reality check of life's cycle will step to you at some point. Feel how you feel and do what the hell you wanna do. And it's not even like the man wasn't rapping his ass off . Because he was. Not saying it's the best thing ever but the man was spittin. Good or bad. It's to the point now.. Fuck opinions. 2022. A line in the sand has to be drawn.

But that's not the point either of them were making. The original comment was if Game or Joyner does this y'all say they "clout chasing". It ain't about whether they could've gotten that damn beat they could do it over a better beat and y'all would still say they clout chasing. How making the argument they can't make the EXACT same song is stupid pointless and does nothing to refute what was said. Kendrick been gone for five years and you come back talking about Kanye OJ Kobe Nipsey Hussle Smollett; etc, so much for you fans excusing his absence as if he's away coming up with some deep introspective content this guy been paying attention to celebrity gossip and tmz headlines for five years and was influenced to make a song about it.

As fans you all waited 4 years to hear social commentary about Nipsey??? That justify why Kendrick was gone all that time??? Wayne or some trap rappers could've did that in one studio session ijs ain't nothing wrong with music with political or social commentary dissecting "the culture" but surface level analysis ain't good enough. Kendrick literally says in the song "hurt people hurt people, the culture" I'm not propping that bar up when I hear CTG say that BS everyday on Breakfast Club so yeah i get why ppl would rather hear the trap/drill ,💩 than a mf give surface level social commentary over boring beats.

Bro you think you are so deep but you're doing too much, you think the universe really works that way? In evil ways? The universe works as an absolute balance to sustain ZERO. Example, in order for an element to exist in this universe it must be "stable" which truly means to be at "Zero Point", why? Take Carbon, it needs 6 Protons (+), 6 Electrons (-) so that is 6 Zeroes, and then it needs 6 Neutrons (Neutral/Zero). This is how carbon can exists in our universe without being radioactive, once those elements get ionized then you are looking at radiation. But the way you think is so absurd. You are giving Kendrick too much credit for universal changes, he is not God. Just as how we are not meant to ionize elements, we are not God's.

He’s extremely well respected and held in high regard amongst the best of the best in hip hop and music period. Joyner Lucas isn’t a bad rapper. But he made a song about race. He made a song about being a bad boyfriend. He made a song about will smith. In my opinion: It is hard to see the destruction when you are standing in the center of the storm but if you step back you can see the damage that the storm is causing. Meaning alot of the music that is put out changes and influences our culture. Whether that is flaunting money, parties, how many women you can knock down in a weekend and we can go on and on. Music with a message is far and few these days. Elders would say we are spending so much time trying to keep up with the Jones that we don't take time to see the destruction. I listen to all types of hip hop but I gravitate to music with a message. I think the Heart Part 5 was an eye opener to the destruction and we call it (the culture). The third verse was crazy because Kendrick talked about how he felt about Nipsey in multiple interviews and for him to spit a verse as if Nipsey embodied him to send a message to his family and fans was powerful. I think the question we should be asking ourselves is did we get THE MESSAGE. Just my opinion

The way Parks said “Huh?” after Ish said Kendrick didn’t really ride the beat… Fam. I’m still crying 😂 Parks has some of the best pod ad libs ever. And get Ish outta here. First he said The Heart Part 5 was trash then when they do the breakdown, Ish is like the lyrics are cool, Kendrick is creative, dadadadada. Get Ish outta here. This is in fact a masterpiece. And for Ish to say this was mediocre, nah. Ish gotta go and Ice can stand on that comparison ledge by himself. That is his crutch. I think the misunderstanding ice and ish have is that "The Heart series " is literally Kendrick Lamar describing where his mind and heart has been leading up to the album . Now more than ever this art is meant to just be accepted and understood this isn't to be compared or be broke down to rank skill. Its not for surface listeners who just want to bop and rehash the feelings already expressed in previous songs . This is meant to be the spark to wake up the dormant activist in us all to look deep into OUR community and change the things we just accept as " Culture "

Perception IS everything. Kendrick has positioned himself as the “savior”/sage/wise teacher archetype and executed it perfectly. Album after album. Can’t hate that. Cole has a similar arch but shy’s away from the theatrics and keeps it simple. His greatness isn’t echoed as much as it should be but it comes with the role. “Low-key” can sometimes result in being overlooked. Produces and spits at top tier levels. He’s the essence. Drake is a Phenom and kinda had no choice in that character arch. He was always an outcast but destined for greatness and outperformed the hype. Which is rare.
