It's a weird take when people assume music is supposed to always be played at a club or party. There's times when you're on your own or just in a less social mood and want to 'listen' to music with depth. This is what Kendrick provides. Imagine trying to turn up and you just chilling, or listening to a rapper talking about dead opps or gyrating on opp graves and you just kicking back. Not everyone is 18- 25 living like there's no tomorrow. Some of us are grown and like introspection and artistic expression. This album is great and gets better when you stop expecting and just listen.

Honestly, 1st listen there were a couple tracks that threw me. But after listening to it 2 or 3 more times, it’s a straight play through for me. It’s just something about his projects, they just are waaay better when you just let it play with no skips, even if it’s 1 or 2 tracks I don’t like as much as the other 16 tracks. It’s truly a one of one album. Love it. Only Kendrick can make an album like this and make it “hit”.

1:34:00 Joe is 100% wrong at on the YSL topic. There is no way to disconnect the crimes and consequences. We having to stop going to bat for people that have decided to do harm in our communities. This was not a mistake that was made, it is people deciding to do terrible things for a decade. Most importantly, even if hip hop artists are being targeting, it doesn't matter if they are actually doing the crimes. Cole, Kendrick, and Drake are the three biggest stars and rap and they don't have the problems. Why is that?

@@draenation265 Completely disagree. One, who told you Ish loves 4:44? What an assumption to make. Also the Heart Part V has a different cadence to all songs on 4:44 which was Ish's main gripe with it wasn't it. Kendrick's rap voice has always been quirky and I get that it's just not for everyone, the lyrics are a lot to digest if you're not in to dissecting bars, or if you do they can be a bit depressing, and the beats are a bit off center of what's going on now in mainstream rap.

The Guys really dropped the ball on the YSL case. They clearly showed biased towards Young Thug last week, and now the facts are becoming available it looks like it was much more EXTENSIVE than merely rappers being targeted for previous their previous lives. Respect to Ish for being man enough to address it and own it. (Joe being wrong and strong) AGAIN

@@jordanllorens they targeting rappers, wyd gunna got to do with all this? They let these niggas run around for years dropping bodies and as soon as thugger bout to build some monumental shit they go get him? If he broke the law and got caught then I cant be mad but if they letting him run around, make white companies millions, and as soon he’s gonna do sumn positive y’all come scoop him up? That’s ducking targeting my guy. Both things can be true you know, he could’ve broke the law AND still have been targeted by law enforcement

@@amirahmednur1631 i can understand your point of view because you’re not wrong and i do feel to a certain extent the feds are strategic in that way, but at the same time thats just how rico and fed cases work, they compile evidence usually for years and get an airtight case, thats why their conviction rate is so high. so i dont feel like its entirely just being targeted, they were committing crimes and being watched, whole time they didnt know a case is building against them.

I'm so happy I got out of the shoe game. I thought the resellers were bad back in 2011 but it's even crazier now. Back then you only had to worry about extremely limited releases. You could get the Jordans and only pay like 50 extra dollars. If I was worried about any show, I got them from a Canadian show store that and the show only cost 10 dollars more plus 10 dollars shipping. The only shoe I ever missed out on was the LeBron 9 big bang. But they were so rare that I've never seen them on another else with my own eyes. I remember seeing Jada Stevens had on a pair in a scene and I was low-key mad.

If I meet a girl and I like her it takes some dates in order for me to fall in love. There are those that we instantly fall head over heels for. That's what this album is. It's meeting that girl or guy that's outside of your norm just to find out that she's deep and that there's a connection between the 2 of you. We are so microwavable nowadays. This album is a like a soul food dinner that ya Grandma made on Sunday that took time to make. Everyone comes to the table to enjoy the food that she took her time to cook. This shit ain't quick grits. It's the grits in the bag you have to boil the water add the salt let it boil then you pour the grits and stir it and sit with it. LOVE THE ALBUM. THANK YOU K DOT for creating something that creates opinions and conversations. It provokes conversations we tap dance around and hide behind the superficial carbon copy bullshit..
