Hmmmm the only thing to worry about is the timing belt man. Its fairly low mileage but just to be secure.. and water pump. What a gem of a beautiful, simple car

That's right and I put a timing belt on an 01 and didn't get it on right its more difficult than what the repair videos show them to be make sure it's an experienced mechanic who has done a few of these to replace it exactly right

Bro that's one of the best trim models of the gen 4.5 v6 Camry , I had a very similar one but in AUSTRALIA called the GRANDE , I loved that car so much , we also have a model exactly like that collectors edition called the AZURA , I am similar age to you and have loved gen 4 and 4.5 Camry's since I was a kid , I have owned maaaany camrys and lexus es300s all from that era , I am a 1mzfe LOVER and Fan boy hahha , I have had over 10 1mzfes and know them inside out , today I have a 2005 1mzfe V6 Camry SPORTIVO model which we only have in Australia , they are a sporty Camry with full body kit, firmer suspension , strut bar etc (search them), did the timing belt myself and thermostat and full service. love your channel bro I will drive nothing other than a car with a 1mzfe as I know them like the back of my hand , absolute tanks of engines / gearboxes (A541E)

PS I have watched your channel for over 10years I think or ever since you started , people don't know how good 4/4.5gen Camry's and Avalon's are until they drive one and get blown away by how silky smooth they are (v6)

I love your devotion to the 4th gen Camry, I like you was one of the few to own a manual v6 4th gen, was fast and I was smoking new cars and I know they were mad this old Camry was blowing their doors off

I don't live in Michigan anymore, lived in Michigan for a short period from 2013 up until 2016. My mom still lives in Michigan about 40 minutes Southwest of Lansing. I live in Indiana now but I still have my cars registered in Ohio where my dad & my grandfather live.

Pretty darn quick, healthy sounding engine. I suggest you put in 93 octane premium, the engine will love it.

Old video, but does anyone have any idea if you can chuck a digital climate controller from the later gen 4s into an earlier gen 4? Would be an interesting upgrade if they're reliable (99 V6 LE here).
