The Kennedy curse is a series of premature deaths, accidents, assassinations, and other calamities involving members of the American Kennedy family. The alleged curse has primarily struck the children and descendants of businessman Joseph P. Kennedy Sr., but it has also affected family friends, associates, and other relatives. Political assassinations and plane crashes have been the most common manifestations of the "curse". Following the Chappaquiddick incident in 1969, Ted Kennedy is quoted saying he questioned if "some awful curse did actually hang over all the Kennedys".

A curse? Maybe. Some of it was reckless uncaring behavior like Teddy at Chappaqidick. Also if Jackie had not been a heavy smoker perhaps her pregnancy losses might not have happened. Joe and Jack were super competitive so Joe acted a bit recklessly to catch up to Jack in military honors and it killed him. Jack and Bobby both messed with the Mob and it probably killed them. Rosemary should have been married off and had a sheltered life but Joe Sr. was ashamed of her. Bad and reckless choices there. Also keeping theirselves in their pants would have helped!

Very good comment, I try and put myself in the past when asking such questions but often discover my opinion varies from time to time, what I do have paramount in my head is that oaf Prime Minister Macmillan on his State visit to the States, doddering along with his hand out behind the obviously more youthful, energetic President JFK but the demise of Empire, broke country etc. they certainly took advantage with the brain drain and then of course we had handed over to the Sowjets our cutting edge jet engine tech and on it goes and we have the luxury of having an oversight unparalleled. Thanks again, lovely comment. 👍

@mensablonde826
@mensablonde826 9 ай бұрын
That is correct. For many years, the Kennedy siblings didn't know what had happened to her. In fear of their father's wrath, they never asked where she was until 1961 after Joe's stroke. Joe Kennedy never saw her again after she was placed in a home in Wisconsin. Her siblings visited her after 20 years of not knowing what happened to her. That is a real tragedy in itself.
@Tumbledweeb
@Tumbledweeb 9 ай бұрын
They(her awful parents) were ashamed of her ever since it came to light that she had severe learning disabilities. Said disabilities very likely having been ghe result of her not getting enough oxygen during birth, due to her being shoved back up into her mother and held in place there by the midwife for quite some time. Following the brain scramble, her father never visited her, claiming he felt too guilty to do so(bullshit). Her mother visited her once, I believe it was ca. 20 years after the fact. And despite Rosemary being severely disabled, when she saw her mother, she fucking lauched herself at her, fists swinging and all! Good job, Rosemary! It's the least of what that rotten cunt deserved.

There are now too many who will NOT set politics aside, for ANY reason….even if it reflects poorly on them. I can’t relate to that. That said, I agree with you, yes he was indeed handsome! He + Jackie, gorgeous couple! And as for leadership, he was exactly what we needed at that moment in time. Among other things, he gave us hope, promise, pride… Idealism took a heavy hit that day.

It all began with Patrick Kennedy in Boston area. He owned a Bar and his son Joseph P Kennedy who made a lot of money during the prohibition era dealing in boot legging.with the mafia connections at that time. After JP Kennedy married Rose Fitzgerald , daughter of Honey Fitz mayor of Boston. They had ten kids and their Father went into Banking and investments. He became very wealthy and the Kennedy name was huge in Massachusetts. But tragic events began to happen during WW2. So this began the period as the known Kennedy Curse. It appeared tragically things began to happen in this family. Mostly their reckless behavior and bad choices. But it seem to include tragic things to also people around them.. Sad era for Mr and Mrs Joseph Kennedy.

The Kennedy’s were not cursed, they ticked off the mafia. The mafia got him in power, and when John became president, he wouldn’t do what they asked and that’s why he was assassinated and then Bobby tried to help John and then Bobby was assassinated. The White House has been ran by the mafia as Nancy Pelosi‘s father was the mayor of San Francisco. He was mafioso. Whitey Bulger just got put in jail and died recently. He was out of the White House. The only other president they tried to assassinate was Ronald Reagan because he was not corrupt as everyone else! Biden is not the President Obama and Clinton are running the country. Also Obama is a Muslim that’s why they gifted them $85 billion dollar army! We have the most corrupt presidents in offices all over the world!

I firmly believe Bobby knew just about all there was to know about his brother’s murder. But who would believe him? I mean, think about it. Working in a world where nearly everyone knew at least bits and pieces, there is no way he couldn’t have known. And you know there were some who were just itching to tell him, heck, brag about it! It would have been like the quarterbacks gf cheating on him that weekend at a party and everyone saw. No one may want to walk up to him right away, but by lunch he’s heard enough. The perpetrators in arms (should I say power?) would have just said he’d lost it and Rosemary wouldn’t have been the only Kennedy with a lobotomy - no pun intended! and if he had revealed, what would that have done to the country and he knew that too. What an ungodly burden to carry. Which is why I think he secretly had JFK’s brain pail buried with him (JFK - not Bobby.). Oh jeez, I just pictured LBJ doing his 3 inches from your nose thing to Bobby saying, “Yeah, I killed the SOB and there ain’t a gd thing you or anybody else can do about it!” Or words to that effect. It makes me believe that Bobby would have been the man for change, for doing what’s right for right’s sake not might’s. Thanks to that bi-polar sob though, we’ll never know. Sorry, just such a waste and still, so heartbreaking.

They helped the Kennedy get in the White House then they after they get in they went after the mob: no secret that the mob knew all their dirt: so they knocked John then they came back and took Bobby out because he would not back off:

Wasn't just his fault. When Rosemary was being born, the nurse wanted to wait for the doctor and made Rose cross her legs to keep from giving birth. Rosemary suffered anoxic brain damage.

I remember all of this from the time of 1960. 1963 I remember distinctly as well as 1968. 1968 was the WORST. Martin Luther King Jr. was gunned down on April 4, 1963... exactly TWO MONTHS later Robert was murdered. WE WERE REELING!!!! My GOD!!!! The 1960s were TERRIBLE. It was the decade of political assassinations and massive coverups!!! When the movie JFK came out Oliver Stone wanted the investigation reopened. It was. But after a short time the JUSTICE DEPARTMENT sealed the records. RESEALED THEM. Their excuse was that the information itself posed a significant THREAT TO NATIONAL SECURITY!!! What was in those papers??? The records were sealed and are NOT to be reopened until 2039!!! my god.....
