I love coming back to watch these old videos… can’t wait for the new ones 🤞🏾

I have about 15 regular clients in one neighborhood (650 homes). This is sound advice. I heard it from you years ago it seems, but it doesn’t click until you’ve experienced some form of route density. Ready to double down and pick up more after watching this 👍👍

You are so right.. I've been getting my customer base into a more concentrated area over the past few years and it pays off in so many ways.. Less down time.. Better work flow/rhythm.. Getting more work done in the same amount of time.. Saving on fuel and miles on vehicle.. Great vids Jonathan.. Beauty mate.. 😉 👍

I thought you had a little (whacky-tobacky) at the beginning ...Lol. Route density is definitely key to profit. Great vid!

K. Thank you for responding. That's becoming my conclusion also. Sticking to one task keeps you in a flow instead of bogging yourself down on different tasks becomes frustrating. Would rather drive on two separate occasions to a property during week than once. Thank you. Love the freedom of lawncare

Awesome video! I have 35 accounts in a neighborhood of 100 houses!
@dakotagilchriest80465 жыл бұрын
Hey man I was curious how did u get those 35 accounts so close together? I have 3 solid good paying customers and I’ve had a good amount of one time mows(like 6)but there not as close as what I would like. I’ve used Craigslist,I put business cards on the doors and I use the next door neighbor app as well. I’ve only done it for less then a month but I wanna grow as fast as I can would you mind giving me advice? @greg’s Lawn and Landscape
@arborvinelandscapingl.l.c81315 жыл бұрын
Dakota Gilchriest got one on every street, people saw me out there working and I quickly became the authority of the neighborhood and word spread and over 3 years I went from 3 to 12 to 35 in that neighborhood.

Greg's Lawn and Landscape that’s awesome man I hope I can do that some day. How many customers did you have in total over the first year in business?

Dude! 👍🏻 Great vid as always. I’m focusing heavily on building route density this year. Just wondering what your recommendations are as far as marketing frequency goes I’m doing postcards/flyer drops about once a month. Do you think I should be doing them more often. I’ve also been doing door knocking but it’s not as well received here in Australia. Thanks in advance and keep up the awesome work.

Any thoughts on mid season advertising? Really trying to get more properties in specific subs and had a few of my competitors customers complaining they aren't reliable. Should i market for my competitors short comings?
@northtexasturfpros69685 жыл бұрын
Hey Bud. Can you explain how you validate that they gave the review in the closed FB groups?
@TheKb17246 жыл бұрын
Jonathan with your website do you just tell potential customers your work area?
@Coachthom1236 жыл бұрын
So say I was able to join a closed Facebook group in the neighborhood across the street from where I live.. should I post free info from within then put an offer out there.

Nice reality check with your intro. I'll tell ya, I've seen some of these guys that act like they are "THE" alpha male of lawn mowing, and boy are they going to conquer the tall wet grass because they can act more dominating on their 35HP big-block zero turn than anyone else......WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP!! I was laughing with you, man. It's hilarious to watch these guys, but seriously, good points. I've lived by these for a long time. Would you believe I've had to turn down 90K in maintenance work this year alone because I can't get anyone to apply for a job? I'll get a call every once in a blue moon with some guy asking if I'm hiring. I tell 'em to fill out a job application online, and never hear back.....they likely bought a zero turn to make videos of themselves mowing wet, tall grass. LOL!

Quick question. How often do your guys do 5 arounds on a clients area? Say you mow a client xyz lawn on Tuesday and you do 5 arounds, how long do you do 5 around again on xyz client again?

what is a "5 around?"

What's a 5 around, or a 7 around? Great video, Jonathan. My main goal is route density this year.
@prinzbuddah3 жыл бұрын
I was just about to ask the same question I googled didnt see anything
@interestingstories18383 жыл бұрын
@@prinzbuddah I figured it out. It means putting 5 (or 7) fliers around your customer's lawn in order to build route density. Cheers

Do you offer a lower price to get more accounts in the neighborhood?
@42swissmocha6 жыл бұрын
He offers pretty competitive rates, he's said before he likes to push every other week so he can charge more per cut and keep his hourly rates higher. if he's charging 45-50 a yard every other week thats 90-100 a month which is competitive in the area for monthly rates and he says he doesn't cut over the winter like some of the other guys do, so if he is on a 9 month season thats 900 a year which again is very competitive. The higher end weekly guys are at 25-35 a week which is 100-140 a month and sometimes they cut over the winter every other week.

Not being rude but honest question. How do you provide excellent customer service if your doing so many lawns in one day?do you not do pruning and weed spraying on visits?Don't most customers want that? Thank you
@willardwood32426 жыл бұрын
If you watch one of his older videos he says that he only does mowing Monday through Thursday and then does all of the extra services like pruning and landscaping jobs on Fridays and Saturdays. I am the same way. When I go out to mow I only take the equipment I need to mow. It makes the schedule runs so much smoother because you don’t have clients asking for extra services that they didn’t schedule ahead of time
@benchurch58466 жыл бұрын
It depends on how small your property's are!
@FloridaTurfPros6 жыл бұрын
Willard Wood is spot on. We mow Monday through Thursday, then group/batch all of our extras (hedge trimming, mulch jobs etc,) on Fridays. I've found it to be the most efficient way to complete both mowing and the hedge trimming, and yes, it keeps clients from asking for extras while you're on their property.

When I get a customer their lawn looks like crap when they ask me to take it over . The cheap guy destroyed it. So it is months before they look good again.

What's a 5 around?
@billezech2 жыл бұрын
Hi Patrick! Not sure if you ever received an answer to your question but a 5 around is when you hang flyers on the doors of the 5 neighbors around your current customer. 1 on each side and 3 across the street in front of your customer. This way you can park in one spot and hopefully get more customers next to your current customer. Hope this helped and good luck! Jonathan at Florida Turf Pros always posts great knowledgeable content!

Route density is NON NEGOTIABLE.... I LOVE DOOR KNOCKING Because the competition won't do it and I love talking to people..Find out who the HOA president is and go after them like a rabid 🐕
