The Keys to Step-Up Ballscreens

Күн бұрынThe step-up ballscreen is one that is set in a way that sends the ball-handler to the sideline, as opposed to the middle of the floor. In this video, we breakdown the floor spacing that goes with this screen, and how it impacts the reads that will be made, and the ultimate goal - which is to Make 2 Guard 1.
This video looks at the options in a "Cleared Side Step-Up" and a "Paired Side Step-Up" and the defensive help (or tags) influence the reads that need to be made, as well as the spacing that's needed.
We also share a few wrinkles that can increase your chances or creating open shots with "Flipping" your screens into a Step-Up, and "Ghosting" out of your ballscreens.

Really appreciate the comment. I’ve got 3 vids on zone offense. 2 on 2-3 zone and 1 on 1-3-1. Let me know if you can’t find them. I’m going to do a video on pack line at some point. Just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
