I put those 13 Guage strings on my 12 string and down tuned 2 steps like you, but i did phospher bronze. Mad props. I lasted 3-4 months before I said to he'll with it. My hands hurt so bad all the time. Those strings are mammoth killers. I eventually switched to the 12 Guage silk set from Bella. And it still took a while but it's almost comfortable to play. Lead belly had big ol hands, mine are probably half the size of his. Definitely a great sound :) Also your dad is a straight G dude that was awesome. Do one about leo kottke. He is still alive so technically he holds the crown as king of 12 string.

I have a 6 string Zager 900 ce and I like lot. I put 11 on mine but it was set for 10. I need to adjust the saddle otherwise I love the guitar.
