Yes. Far better than the other two sitcoms built around New York stand up comedians - the absurdly overrated "Seinfeld" and "Everybody Loves Raymond".

Seinfeld and Everybody Loves Raymond weren’t overrated, it’s just that King of Queens was badly underrated when it came to awards. Some of the funniest comedic actors were in it. Jerry Stiller, Nicole Sullivan and everyone else were pitch perfect, and the fact that only Kevin James received an emmy nomination (for the pole dance he did btw - just that one scene) was a disgrace. There were some fantastic shows running then but 8 or 9 years of consistantly funny shows and nothing to show for it in major awards seems to be a major snub. At least plenty of fans appreciate it.

It always seemed odd to me that that was supposed to be a problem. They were all professional strippers who advertised with their pictures. You should want to have sex with any of them.
