Kings are going for Demar Derozan now. Right now his options seem to be the Heat, Spurs and GSW. Previously I did not want to see Lauri traded but the fact is, next season is still for tanking. I've had enough, I want to see Lauri in an actual playoff game.

That is so true. Lauri need to move to some team what actually try to win games. Im done with stupid tank teams. It should be punish, not rewarded if lose games on purpose.

This is now off the table Kings having signed DeRozan. I kinda did like the idea of Lauri with Doma and Fox. I'd quess Lauri now will stay at Jazz, keeping the team just about competitive enough to miss out a good bid at theCooper Flagg sweepstakes.

Nah. The Jazz have 6 rookies and sophomores they can do a proper tank. They need to get rid of Collins and Clarkson.

@@adamzullo3624 Clarkson is the last player to get rid of if the objective is to tank. He has had the highest usage rate of the team past 2 seasons and had 3'rd lowest fg% in the entire league last season. Keeping him around isn't ideal for developing the youth players, but he's the perfect tank captain.

If Ainge wants to tank for a chance to get Cooper Flagg, w/o being blatant about tanking, then he will trade Markk to the Spurs for Johnson and Collins and that Hawks UNPROTECTED pick in 2025. But he ain't getting four first round pick from the savvy Spurs who fleeced the Hawks in the Dejonte Murray trade 3 yrs ago.

Ainge (Jazz) will be forced to trade Lauri Markk to the Spurs for less than he wants. Best of both worlds is that the Spurs will not only compete for the title next year, BUT THEY WILL STILL BE IN THE COOPER FLAGG LOTTERY WITH THE HAWKS UNPROTECTED PICK IN 2025. The Trinity is looking down kindly on my hometown team. Go Spurs Go!!!

De'Aaron Fox is smart not to sign an extension. So is Lauri Markk and the Spurs who are waiting for Markk to realize the Jazz will never SERIOUSLY compete for a title in the West Conf as long as VW and the improving Spurs exist. Danny Ainge, who I despise, will end up trading him for less or end up like the Clippers who lost Paul George to a contender and got and the Jazz got NOTHING in return.

Kings were forced to take on DeRozen to "convince" Fox they were trying to be a contender. I predict it won't work and Fox will be the PG of the future on the Spurs after this season. We'll give the Kings Keldon Johnson for De'Aaron Fox right now. hehehe

Jazz don’t need to trade Lauri, it will take a blue chip prospect and at least 3 first round picks. (No Keegan Murray or Jonathan Kuminga then the conversation is over)

@@wraithhoops I was hoping for some big moves from the Jazz this offseason to get back to the playoffs but the stars just didn’t align so I’d prefer to keep Lauri and build around him for the future. Give him a nice big contract extension and watch the all-star cook.

Spurs stole Harrison Barnes for basically nothing. Barnes will thrive with CP3 and VW being the primary ball handlers for the Spurs. CP3 will avg a double-double playing 25m/gm to extend his career two more years until he retires and becomes the next HC of the Spurs. Unless Pop keels over during the season then player-coach CP3 will finish out the year and HC next year and guide VW and the Spurs to many titles.

@@adamzullo3624 Murray still have rookie salary. Have to offer Markkenane big salary after this season and some draft picks. Luckily, Kings go with Derozan, not losing much.

DeRozan isn't going to make Kings competitive in the WC. As a lower seed team the Kings still lose in the first round vs OKC or Mavs or Nuggets or Clippers (unless Leonard, AGAIN, is hurt. lmao). Spurs didn't know it at the time but they "lucked out" being forced to get rid of Leonard when they did. They now have VW and will be competing for titles in '25-'26. Maybe this year if they get Lauri Markk.
