I think one of my favourite things about the way he plays, is that he plays for the team. He's not chasing superstar stats, he's doing what's best for the team, and he's doing it well.

Watched the entire video. Being NZ, Its easy to focus on the Super Star that Adams has become. This video shows who he is, where he's come from and most importantly, "WHY" he does these things for others. Thanks for always being Humble Steven, you are a role model to young Kiwis, in particular Young MAORI! Chur to breaking through those walls in life my bro. Mean Mahi

According to his book, he’s English via his dad and Tongan from his mother. It’s a fascinating read, btw. I bought it and really have enjoyed it. It’s called “My Life, My Fight” by Steven Adams. I’d recommend it to anyone and everyone. Even people who aren’t sports fans would love it. No lie.

J. LIL He’s not . He’s a good role player . That’s it .
@mitholassc25 жыл бұрын
He's underrated because he is a great role player. He's excellent at what he does if you look at his stats of 14.9 PTS, 2.3 PF and 10.2 TRB, there aren't a lot of centers in NBA that could do that right now. His efficiency rating this season is 20.1, where the NBA average this year is 15. This means he is doing a lot outside of scoring and rebounding. But with today's NBA, centers are expected to be able to shoot 3pts, to be able to get 20~25 rebounds every night, and when Adams isn't doing that (because he's doing other things equally important), the media doesn't give him enough coverage. Another important factor is that today's game focuses on guards over center....... But as NZ myself, I love Adams and what he does. I hope he could develop into a dominating center like the old days of Shaq and even Hakeem~
@rockodoesstuff53295 жыл бұрын
Big Virgil bro, when KD left to go to THAT team, Adams although thinking he's just a role player came through for Russ and OKC. Did you see there pick and rolls? Amazing.

I remember Adams on his Draft night. He must wear #12 because that's where he was taken. Adams is the youngest of his father's 18 children. (supposedly by 5 women) Damn! His mother is Tongan. I just learned that. Nothing against the City of OKC but I wish Adams was a Sonic. Seattle is much more like Adams' home than OKC. "We" messed up so it's our fault we don't have a team. Adams looks like he's playing on a nerf hoop. There's a video on KZfaq with all of his dunks from one year. When he hangs on the rim and flexes it down, he's only a few inches off the ground. He's an uncommonly athletic monster of a big man. I bet he's strong as hell. His salary shows the Thunder love him. I'd say top 5 center in the League.
@kedisbrow73652 жыл бұрын
Actually, I was bemoaning that the Sonic were no longer in Seattle cuz I’d go to a lot of Stevens games cuz I’m in Spokane. But they were bought out and moved. Guess where they went, though-Oklahoma City of all places! Steven is playing for what was the Sonics team. Who’da think it?! lol

i am now and forever a fan of steven adams. considering the polynesian aspect. it is true they represent their race in huge numbers considering their tiny populace.in professianal athletic fields. and i may be racist because l believe they are unique in the aspect of respect for family, good natured, highly competative as any warrior should be, and at home within themselves, and also very caring about others. these are very good things and if i could choose a race i would choose theirs.. duane johnson is of the same ilk.ferocious on the outside and nothing but sweet on the inside.he does many nice things for charity and gives people thrills with out of nowhere visits to fans. i watched a high school game in colorado with a tongan star. he was an exchange student and huge but incredibly athletic. he was also the most popular guy on the court. he did well and both sides applauded him.he was the epitome of a good sport. nuff said.

I have one kid and i could not imagine having one kid turn 18, while having another on the way. That's insanity to me. Especially with the monsters his family was producing. My god.... i could not imagine having to feed 12, 6'8 or taller, teenage boys. You'd have to maintain a farm just to do this. "How much did you produce in crops and live stock last year?" " About 250,000 dollars worth" "How much were you able to sell after your family ate?" "Oh, we're in the red. The final two months of the year we actually have to do grocery shopping and order pizza. We're hoping if we can buy another 10 acre's we can last all year. If we can buy another 50, we can actually make some profits"
