I'm honestly done with Enhypen only having bops. Not only their title tracks but their B-sides too, not a single skip! I still listen to Drunk-Dazed daily and it's definitely my favorite title track of 2021 (besides Paranoia by Kang Daniel) but Tamed-Dashed is already claiming it's spot in the top GOD DAMN

Enhypen have mastered the art of hype choruses,, something that’s been lacking in k-pop recently imo. I think it’s why I really love all of their releases. They’re building a flawless discography, seriously.

After you listen the EP, there is a song called "Go big or go home." You need to watch the live performance, Jay has a lot of parts in the song. My bias is Jay as well, it was so satisfying to watch him in that song.

I'm still not sure if I like it more than Drunk-Dazed since that song was just so epic, but Tamed-Dashed is so crisp and electrifying I am 10000% satisfied with this comeback the album was even more spectacular I can't wait for you to check it out you will be shocked!!!

Honestly, I'm shocked by how good Enhypen releases are back to back. I've been sleeping on them, which I now deeply regret. I was even quite worried when HYBE announced I-LAND show as it was something this company never seemed interested in before. But then one day last week I came across Given-Taken, completely accidentally and oh boy, this is one of the best songs I've heard. And this was a debut song? Impossible. Then Drunk-Dazed got me shocked once again, everything about that comeback was perfect and the song was a real gem again. I rarely keep up with rookie releases, but these guys are nothing like other rookies. Their music seems so mature, their concepts are well-thought, even their stage presence is great, something many groups achieve over the years. They did so well with performing Fever and this choreo was so charismatic. It's incredible how Tamed-Dashed managed to live up to the hype, like you said, because the hype was real and yet this song is great on so many levels. I'm so glad someone put a clip of Given-Taken choreo in a random YT video, I think I should go back and thank that person.

The song says "summer" but the MV is early autumn with the football/rugby theme. Their having COVID unfortunately delayed the release but that's just what happened so, we roll. The full-length album is just so good! ENGENE believes there will be a repackaged album (like what TXT did) because there is no Outro, just an Interlude. Cross-fingers that means more songs before the end of the year!

Enhypen... man what can I say about these boys. For a rookie group, (that doesn't even seem like a one) they have been phenomenal at releasing consistent, high quality music and performance. Also I've been loving this direction HYBE has been taking with their groups and I only hope it gets better from here!! I totally recommend that you listen to the full album because it equally lives up to the hype of this song and Enhypen as a group overall-- I wouldn't be mad if it was on patreon :)

I find Enhypen's music so refreshing bc tbh for me a lot of current kpop has just become SO over produced that I always describe it as "noise music". There will be really great melodies or beats that I will love but they are so over layered and transition almost with no discernable pattern that it ends up being jarring and exhausting to listen to. But Enhypen's music is just so tightly and elegantly produced, it really does walk the line of tension perfectly where it completely hypnotizes your emotions and you end up having that wonderful addiction to the experience of the patterns in the song. It's so cathartic to me. You end up wanting to replay again and again. Their music is top tier in my opinion.

I agree with you. Heeseung really have a strong impact at the center. The choreography looks even more impactful when he's in the center, like the whole group looks even more beautiful. He has that effect.

The album is a 10/10 for me as well. I'm always incredibly excited for enhypen's comebacks and they never disappoint. I can't wait for what their future holds. (I'm also Jay biased and he did get more lines and screen time and i'm soooo happy!)

I winced when PD said that Drunk-Dazed was now their alarm. There is no better and quicker way to make me hate a song/sound than to have it wake me up every morning. I don't know how PD does it. I would not be able to listen to Drunk-Dazed ever again no matter how great the song is.

I like this sound for them. Tamed-Dashed is energetic, but to me also has a wistful tone. Maybe it is the bass or chords they use, but the tone seems to fit generally with this part of the story. What I gather is they had their normal childhood stolen from them. At the same time they are forever young, so there is a tension and longing. In this mv, there are scenes from the past where they yearn to be out in the sun playing but are limited by their vampire nature. At some point, they figured out how to overcome that hurdle, and we see them at a different time living more freely and learning to use other powers. It is likely metaphor. It interesting how the story is unfolding.

Enhypen's new album is REALLY good. I haven't bought a whole album in awhile but I did for this one. Favorite song is Blockbuster.

They’re vampires. The vintage clothes are flash backs and they couldn’t be in the sun without being burned(aka Niki at the beginning of the MV). Sunoo somehow figured out how to combat that maybe using magic or something and shared it with the others(shed scene and field scene with umbrellas). So by the end we see old/flashback Niki able to pick up the ball in the sun. Modern scenes are them enjoying their immortal vampire lives going to school and playing their favorite game in the sun which they’ve probably been playing for decades now. At least that’s what I got out of it!

idk why but the "rock genre" they incorporated here reminded me of those indie-pop-centric bands from the 80s/90s like New Order, The Wake, and even modern ones like The Drums, Elkland, Trunkweed. It has this very grungy, new wave-y feel to it. The dissonant synths especially in the ohhohhohh part in the latter part of the chorus screams 80s indie pop. To love this track is an understatement.

The storyline of this video is mainly about how vampires are not able to go out in the sun. So in the first shot, we see Nikki trying to reach the ball that is in a sunny spot, we also see Sunoo's skin begin to burn when he holds the ball which is in a sunny spot..... So it's probably their dream/fantasy of how it'd be to enjoy the summertime and sunshine, as seen in the scene when they lower their umbrellas and enjoy the sun shining down on their skin.

Whoever is producing these songs, titles and b-sides is doing something right. I kinda wished to fit in with the vibe more the comebacks were switched around because drunk-dazed would of fit October perfectly but it still works. What a breath of fresh air though this song is.
