I found myself agreeing with everything you said about why YG is YG. Especially the part where each individual in YG's group are oozing with their own color and when they are in their group, it blends so well. I've been a YG Stan for more than 10 years, in fact BIGBANG brought me to KPOP. So I can relate to everything you said about YG Artists. Even in such a big group like Treasure, I can see their individual style shines through. But maybe that just because I've been watching them for so long. Treasure Map really helps us to learn more about their personality. Now that I see it, it's a great strategy for YG to show their variety side first before debuting, as people need to get used to each member to appreciate their individual presence more. Enough said, this is such a great review.

ikon is Hanbinpop their music is heavily influence by him. Treasure's music is very close to BP for the past two years. Clearly YG is aiming for the western market. The amount of english lyrics says it all. The after result is evident. They are doing good internationally. The thing about this strategy, the moment they blow up in the global scene. Korean market will automatically fall into trap. Why did YG chose the western market? Because Korea isn't open yet for anything from the company since all the issues. It's an amazing strategy to be honest.

I’m going to be honest. The chorus is probably my least favorite part, BUT I still find it very catchy and I like it a lot. I think this is a fantastic debut and honestly I keep liking it more the more I listen to it. I’ve been waiting for Yedam specifically since 2017 and for the whole group since Treasure Box and I cannot even express how satisfying it is to FINALLY see these boys debut. They’re out there now! They have a music video! They’re going to be big! It’s such an exciting feeling. Treasure fighting!! 😭💙

BIGBANG is not type of idol but more like an artist. That's why they doing really good in korean music chart because of the song is for every listeners. And Treasure really type of idol group base of their songs and psychic albums sales.

The reason why I became a YG stan is because their music is different from mainstream kpop, different in a very good way. I know they are trying to venture out from what they've been doing since and they're starting it with Treasure, but I hope YG would never lose that music signature or character or whatever you call it. I hope they keep making unique, beautiful, easy to listen to kpop but not so kpop music, and not try hard to go with what trends nowadays. 'Coz trendy music passes but beautiful music become classics, something like that. I'm a big fan of Treasure, but their debut song is not my personal flavor. I'm more of 'Going crazy' and 'Wayo' type of listener. Bought their album tho (coz I love them lol) Def looking forward and excited to more music from TREASURE 💜

personally i rlly love the song, i respect others opinions ofc but in my case the chorus is actually the reason why i love this so much, i’ve been repeating the drop in my head since the teaser for this drop. tho i understand how the drop could feel “underwhelming” compare to the rest of the song, and it definitely throws u off, but that’s why it stands out for me, the sound is still very yg but it’s different from other artists from yg. plus like PD said this group is for sure a lot more performance base compare to their seniors so that’s rlly exciting, i mean they’re literally the future of yg hahah so overall i think it’s a very well rounded debut

So like, I get how you can hear this song and not think of it as a typical YG-sounding song, and I had the same opinion at first, up until the outro after Hyunsuk goes, "shhh...treasure." That 'ooooohhhh na na na na' full group chant really reminded me of iKON's musical style...made me think that maybe B.I. had a hand in writing the song when I first heard it... but ultimately I think you're right; TREASURE is unlike any former YG debut... and the knife-cut choreography is just so damn impressive, and the song structure is so well done that it makes the song feel like it's over 4 minutes long, when the total run time is 3:17... it's unique and captivating, and the group is just oozing with talent... I have high hopes for the future of this group

I’ve been struggling to find songs that hit me right away, and this was one of them. I think the little audio clips that were teased before had me thinking it was not going to be vocally focused, so I was wholly shocked when Yedam opened the song just slaying. I think they do a good job of making the dance breaks more interesting to listen to by adding small bits of vocals into them.
